Wondering how to get to Asgard in AC Valhalla? Or perhaps you've found your way there but you're stuck wondering how to get back to the real world. Maybe you need to head back to begin exploring Ireland in the new Wrath of the Druids DLC. Whatever your dilemma, this guide has you covered if you want to know how to explore (and leave) this separate story arc that takes you away from 9th century England and Norway.

As you may have guessed by the name, Asgard is the mystical home of the Norse gods which play a big role in the lives of the Vikings and are interwoven throughout the real-world story. The Asgard story arc sees Eivor take on the role of Havi during your time spent there and give some insight into the background. So how do you get there? Read on to find out everything we know about AC Valhalla Asgard.

How to get to AC Valhalla Asgard

You'll need to have reached a point in the main story where you are able to upgrade your AC Valhalla settlement at Ravensthorpe to level 3. Once you've reached this level, Valka will arrive from Norway and you'll be able to set to work building a Seer's Hut for her. The hut requires 800 supplies and 60 raw materials so if you're a bit short, you may need to do a few raids or push further into the story get the resources you need.

Once the Seer's Hut has been built, Valka will offer you a quest to gather some herbs from around the small pond close by. These are bright pink but even so, they're fairly hard to spot. If you aren't having any luck, try looking near the top of the small waterfall. Once you've collected the number required, return to Valka and she'll make an elixir for you. Interacting with this elixir will send you to Asgard.

It's also worth noting that you'll only have to collect the herbs once. The elixir will stay there and you can use it as often as you wish to return to Asgard.

How to leave AC Valhalla Asgard

So you've made it to Asgard but what happens if you want to continue with the story back in 9th century England? If you've only just arrived, you're going to need to complete the first quest you receive in Asgard. The View Above All quest requires you to close the gate to Jotunheim and you'll automatically pick this up when you speak to the Norse gods gathered in Asgard.

To reach them, use the synchronisation point at the edge of the platform ahead and perform a leap of faith to land in the water below. While here, you may notice that the suggested power level for the area is 90 but don't worry too much if you're below that.

Choose Thor to accompany you and make your way across the bridge. You can stop to fight if you want to but most enemies should leave you alone as they'll be otherwise engaged. Once you reach the steps at the other end, Thor will deal with the group here and leave you free to run to the gate.

A word of warning: there is a big guy that hits like a truck if he manages to catch you. Dodge out of the way of any hits and interact with the gate to close it. After a short cutscene, an 'eye' icon will be added to your map (see the image above) and you can interact with this to leave Asgard whenever you wish.
