Hogwarts Legacy is now out in Australia, and early impressions confirm that it's a surprisingly brilliant take on the Harry Potter universe (albeit, one lacking Harry Potter himself).
"It's so rare that we get a licensed, blockbuster game like this," our own Morgan Park wrote in his review-in-progress, "one that so far delivers on a very specific fantasy and then some. Which makes it all the more unfortunate that something this exceptional is haunted by a bigoted creator who stands to profit from it." Our final verdict will arrive in the coming days.
If you're looking to pick up Hogwarts Legacy up on February 11, there are several ways you can do that in Australia. As per usual, buying direct from Steam isn't the cheapest option, but if you were hoping to go into a bricks and mortar store to buy the game on PC, think again: it ain't getting a physical version in Australia. As a result, digital is the way to go, but you don't have to pay RRP.

In the lead up to Hogwarts Legacy's official release, Green Man Gaming has the best sale price. If you'd prefer the digital deluxe version, that's AU$84.96, down from AU$99.95. There's also 850XP to accrue if you're involved in Green Man Gaming's loyalty program.
Hogwarts Legacy @ Fanatical | AU$89.99 AU$79.19
The next best price. The Digital Deluxe version is AU$92.39 from Fanatical, with the RRP listed as AU$104.99 (unlike Green Man - who to believe?). The catch is, that Fanatical is currently running a promotion that grants a 5% discount voucher if you sign up to its mailing list. That brings the price down to a bit over AU$75, if you'd like to try that.
Hogwarts Legacy @ Humble Store | AU$89.95 (with bonuses)
Humble is selling Hogwarts Legacy at the usual RRP, but if you happen to be Humble Choice member you can save up to AU$9. Membership costs AU$11.99 a month.
Hogwarts Legacy @ Steam | AU$89.95
Steam is selling Hogwarts Legacy at the normal RRP. Since both Fanatical and Green Man Gaming offer Steam codes as part of their cheaper prices, you might as well go with them.
