Calling all strategy and esports fans! This weekend you have the chance to watch Gfinity's inaugural StarCraft II tournament kick off in Gfinity's dedicated esports arena in London. World-class players from all over the world will start their victory campaigns on Friday evening as they vie for a slice of the $10,000 prize pool. Intense competition is guaranteed.
It'll be a great day if you like watching some top-class Zerg play (and who doesn't?). Top south Korean talent like MC, Parting, Rain, Forgg, Jaedong and Soulkey will join Bunny from Denmark and Snute from Norway in battle, all while you enjoy expert analysis and lively casting from Khaldor, Ret, Demuslim, Pughy, Jorosar and Petraeus.
The event will take place at the Gfinity Arena at Vue Fulham Broadway, the only dedicated esports arena in Britain. Two of the arena's three theatres will host this weekend's competition in front of hundreds of spectators, making the StarCraft II Spring Masters a unique opportunity to meet up with fellow StarCraft II fans and share the thrill of live competition. Group stages take place on Friday evening and Saturday ahead of event's climax on Sunday, and tickets are available now from £12.50.
If you can't make it down to London, or fancy reliving some of the excitement after the event, you can catch all of the action on Gfinity's dedicated YouTube channel. There you'll find recordings from Gfinity's other events, including the Hearthstone Spring Masters and last weekend's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive barney. Events are also streamed live on Gfinity's Twitch channel. These events are just a few events in a packed schedule of competitions to be hosted at the Gfinity Arena in the coming months. Check out Gfinity's full event listings for details of exciting future tournaments for Hearthstone, CS:GO, Fifa 15 and more.
