Frostkeep Studios is bringing its new team-based competitive survival game, Rend, to the upcoming PC Gamer Weekender event in Olympia, London on February 17-18, 2018. From original World of Warcraft and League of Legends developers, the fantasy hybrid survival game pits three factions against one another in 60-player matches where players take risks to survive and dominate the brutal world of Rend and ultimately ascend to become the new Norse gods of Valhalla.
After a successful pre-alpha in 2017, Frostkeep Studios is debuting its latest build of Rend at the event giving PC Gamer Weekender attendees the first-ever hands-on experience with the game. The new build includes the latest game updates and improvements including a bigger map (4 times larger now!), a deepening of the crafting system, introduction of more sandbox and RPG elements like personal base-building, UI updates, new creatures and environments (6 new biomes), and game-changing items. The team is also hard at work updating the game architecture behind the scenes to give mod makers an extremely robust toolset to create all new content and systems.
Rend recently began its second Friends & Family test event to establish client build readiness and server stability and will open alpha testing to the public later this spring. Rend is set to enter early access on Steam later this year. To learn more or sign up for the Rend public alpha, visit the official site.
