Valve appeared at PAX Australia last month to reveal a November release for Steam Deck in the region. Problem was, they didn't specify a date, and I know several people who have been hard refreshing the Steam Deck order page ever since. Poor souls, you can rest now: Valve has confirmed Steam Decks will go on sale in Australia on November 19 at 10am.

When that time arrives you'll be able to buy one of three available models on this page; until then, you're more than welcome to wishlist it.

When you order a Steam Deck in Australia, the unit ships from Valve direct, so you definitely won't get your hands on Steam Deck on November 19; that's when you'll be able to place an order.

As a reminder, here are the prices for Steam Deck in Australia:

  • 256GB LCD: AU$649
  • 512GB OLED: AU$899
  • 1TB OLED: AU$1,049

I've said it before, but those prices are better than what grey market sellers have been offering in Australia for the past few years. Better still, shipping is included. If you're definitely gonna bite come November 19, maybe peruse our list of the best Steam Deck accessories, and then the best Steam Deck games.
