The best build for Tighnari in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact Tighnari: Find out more about this foresty fox boy.
Genshin Impact Heizou build: Brawling detective
Genshin Impact Klee build: Little red bomber
Genshin Impact Kazuha build: Anemo ronin
Genshin Impact Yelan build: Hydro spy
Genshin Impact Kuki build: Loyal lieutenant
Tighnari is one of the three characters that has arrived with the Sumeru update, and like Collei, he's also an archer that belongs to the brand new Dendro element that's been introduced in version 3.0. Dendro is the power of plants, and though it already exists in Genshin Impact in a minor form, the Sumeru update is the first time we've seen Dendro vision characters.
So, what do we know about the fox boy? Unlike Collei, who features in the Genshin Impact prequel manga, we don't know much about him except that he's the head of the Avidya Forest rangers. His kit of abilities is also pretty wild, firing arrows that break up into multiple homing projectiles.
In this Genshin Impact Tighnari build guide, I'll go over a potential setup, as well as his abilities and Ascension materials so you can get a better idea of what this five-star Dendro character is capable of.
Builds
The best Genshin Impact Tighnari build
Tighnari's main source of damage is through his Charged Attacks, though he gains extra damage from Elemental Mastery, thanks to his Scholarly Blade passive. This passive also happens to buff his Elemental Burst, so you should make sure to prioritise Elemental Mastery in whichever build you settle on.
- Weapon: Hunter's Path
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the new five-star weapon in version 3.0 is Tighnari's best weapon overall. The passive skill not only increases his Charged Attacks by a considerable amount but it multiplies it by his Elemental Mastery stat. The increased Crit Rate can't be ignored either.
While the Hunter's Path bow is by far the best option for Tighnari, other options such as Polar Star or Amos' Bow can do pretty well. If you're after an easy-to-get alternative to those, The Stringless is a passable four-star option. Just be warned that none will outshine Hunter's Path as far as straight damage goes.
- Artifacts: (4) Deepwood Memories
This new artifact set is a good all-rounder for Tighnari. As well as offering a flat percentage-based increase to his Dendro damage, an enemy's resistance to that element will also be reduced by 30% for a set amount of time, even when Tighnari is off the field.

If you're struggling with decent drops or you just want an alternative while you farm, Wanderer's Troupe will work well in the meantime. The two-piece bonus increase Elemental Mastery while the four-piece offers a hefty 35% damage increase to Charged Attacks.

Tighnari's banner, Viridescent Vigil, is live now and will run throughout the first phase of the update, with Collei as a four-star alternative.

Abilities
Tighnari's abilities
Here are Tighnari's abilities, passives, and constellations:
Normal | Fires up to four consecutive shots with a bow. |
Charged | Fires a precise charged shot that deals more damage. Charge level one fires an arrow that deals Dendro damage. Charge level two fires a Wreath Arrow that deals Dendro damage and spawns four Clusterbloom Arrows that track opponents and deal Dendro damage. |
Plunging | Fires off a shower of arrows before hitting the ground, dealing AoE damage on impact. |
Vijnana-Phala Mine | Tighnari throws a Vijnana Stormheart that deals AoE Dendro damage and creates a Vijnana-Khanda field that confuses enemies within. Tighnari also gains the Vijnana-Penetrator effect which decreases Wreath Arrow charge time by 1.5 seconds. This effect ceases after three Wreath Arrows are fired. |
Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft | Fires six Tanglevine Shafts that track opponents and deal Dendro damage. After these hit, they create another wave of Tanglevine Shafts. |
Encyclopedic Knowledge | Displays the location of nearby Sumeru resources on the mini-map. |

Karma Adjudged From the Leaden Fruit | Wreath Arrow's charge time is decreased by 0.9 seconds and produces an extra Clusterbloom Arrow on hit. |
Ascension materials
Tighnari's Ascension materials
Here are Tighnari's materials for ascending his talents and leveling him up.
Character
The Nagadus Emerald variants drop from the Jadeplume Terrorshroom boss in Sumeru, and as luck would have it, the Majestic Hooked Beak item is also rewarded for defeating the same boss. You'll also need:
- Nilotpala Lotus
- Fungal Spores/Luminescent Pollen/Crystalline Cyst Dust
Nilotpala Lotus only bloom at night and can be found around water in the Sumeru region—the Teyvat Interactive Map should help you locate them. The other items are dropped by different levels of Fungi enemies around Sumeru.
Talent
Here's what you'll need for Tighnari's talents:
- Admonition Scrolls
- Fungal Spores/Luminescent Pollen/Crystalline Cyst Dust
- The Meaning of Aeons
- Crown of Insight
The Admonition Scrolls can be obtained from the Steeple of Ignorance domain in Sumeru on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. As above, the Fungal Spores and their variants are dropped by Fungi enemies and the Meaning of Aeons is a potential drop from the weekly Guardian of Eternity boss in the Trounce Domain.
Finally, the Crown of Insight is usually a reward for a single event per season. You can get some by upgrading the Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine with Crimson Agate, the Sacred Sakura in Inazuma with Electro Sigils, or by levelling the Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget in the Chasm.
