If you're jetting off on holiday this year, or heading to literally anywhere other than your house, I guarantee you'll miss your gaming rig. I've been there. You want to enjoy relaxing by the pool, or chilling in your favourite cafe, but all you can think about is finishing that mission in your favourite RPG. Don't worry, dude. GeForce NOW has your sun lotion-covered butt… uh, covered.

Right now GeForce NOW, NVIDIA’s game streaming service, Ultimate tier is half price, meaning you can get your mitts on a current-gen NVIDIA graphics card without spending out on one of the best gaming PCs, and it's a helluva lot more portable. In fact, until the 18th August, you can get a one month GeForce NOW subscription for less than a tenner, or six months for less than £50!

That's just £9.99 a month for the Ultimate tier which means access to a RTX 4080 rig that will play games in 4K at 120 FPS, or 240 FPS at 1080p. With the Ultimate tier, your subscription comes with Ray Tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 3, which is a combo of DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex. All that helps to make games run much more smoothly, and improve responsiveness to give you a competitive edge. And, importantly, no ads.

GeForce NOW gives gamers the flexibility to game on almost any device you might have lying around the house, as long as you have a stable internet connection! So whether you're gaming by the pool, in the hotel room of your foreign foray, or sticking closer to home sunning it up in the park, there are plenty of games to choose from.

With access to over 1,800 games and apps there's enough variety to keep you going all summer. And as long as you have a healthy internet connection (15Mbps download minimum) you can play on any old laptop, Mac, desktop, TV, compatible Android device, iPhone or Steam Deck to play. It takes literal moments to download the NVIDIA App and you'll be rifling through a bursting game library in no time.

One of the best things about it is that you can access all the games you already own, too. You can connect GeForce NOW with any of your existing game libraries — including Steam, EPIC Games, Ubisoft’s Uplay, Xbox Game store, EA and GOG.com — so you can use your Ultimate RTX 4080-powered cloud rig to get through your steadily building backlog.

If Ultimate tier at half price is still a bit of a stretch, there are other options to consider.

Premium tier is currently just £4.99 a month, which means ad free gaming on a premium rig, complete with RTX features and access to priority gaming servers. Sure you only get 6 hours of gaming at a time, but you're getting 60 FPS at 1080p which ain't bad at all. If you're gaming on a laptop with a lower refresh, this is probably the tier you want to invest in anyway as you won't be able to make the most of Ultimate tier's higher frame rates. For that level of gaming, you'll still want to grab yourself a portable gaming projector or something, if you want to make the most of the high FPS you're suddenly achieving through the magic of the cloud.

Still, if your chosen device can reach high refresh rates (a lot of android devices and gaming handhelds will be able to do this). There's also a free tier which has a few ads, but it means you can nab an hour of game time here and there on a basic rig. It might not have all the fancy RTX features, but it's something for nothing for the budget gamers out there.

You can sign up for your half price subscription on the GeForce NOW website right now for access to all NVIDIA's fancy DLSS and Ray Tracing wizardry, and get a powerful rig at your fingertips from most any machine you can get your hands on.

And once the half price sale is over on August 18th, you can still get a great price on access to an RTX 4080-powered machine at just £19.99 a month.
