The cheapest way to buy Monster Hunter Wilds in Australia
Another bout of monster slaying approaches - here's how to get involved cheaply.
Monster Hunter Wilds is the hotly anticipated follow-up to Monster Hunter World, and as the name implies, it's all about hunting monsters... in the wilds. No one ever said the Monster Hunter series was conceptually complicated, though it is mechanically complicated, in the sense that the combat is deep and tactical, the crafting excruciatingly detail-oriented, and the build variety as wide as the ocean.
The release date for Monster Hunter Wilds in Australia is February 28. For all the gory details re: what's actually coming in Monster Hunter Wilds, this handy Monster Hunter Wilds guide will meet all requirements. Monster Hunter Wilds for PC in Australia - physical
Curiously, Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a rare physical edition in Australia, though do be aware that there's no disc in this steelbook: only a Steam code. Yes, it's kinda stupid, but if you want the fancy steelbook, this is obviously the best way to go. Also available from:

What's in the deluxe editions of Monster Hunter Wilds, and are they worth it?
Monster Hunter Wilds has both a Deluxe Edition (RRP AU$134.95) and a Premium Deluxe Edition (AU$164.95). These are naturally more expensive than the base edition (RRP AU$104.95) and include the following:
- Hunter Layered Armor Set: Feudal Soldier, Hunter Layered Armor: Fencer's Eyepatch, Oni Horns Wig
- Seikret Decoration: Soldier's Caparison, General's Caparison
- Felyne Layered Armor Set: Felyne Ashigaru
- Pendant: Avian Wind Chime
- Gesture: Battle Cry, Uchiko
- Hairstyle: Hero's Topknot, Refined Warrior
- Makeup/Face Paint: Hunter's Kumadori, Special Bloom
- Sticker Set: Avis Unit, Monsters of the Windward Plains
- Nameplate: Extra Frame — Russet Dawn *Purchase Bonus
The Premium Deluxe Edition adds the following:
- Hunter Layered Armor: Wyverian Ears
- Premium Bonus Hunter Profile Set
- BGM: Proof of a Hero (2025 Recording)
...plus two post-launch cosmetic DLC packs to launch in 2025.
Are these worth it? Given that they're only cosmetics, you probably have to already be a Monster Hunter fanatic to want these. Some people get super into the fashion aspect of Monster Hunter, but if you'd prefer to look good via the spoils of combat rather than just by paying more than anyone else, I guess hold off.

The crucial thing to know is that, aside from cosmetics and other nice bonuses (like some music that no one else will hear) you're not getting more game here. Neither edition includes access to any future expansion.
