Edge magazine went to Rockstar to see GTA 6, and will tell you all about it in lavish detail this Thursday, October 29
I bet you can steal cars.
We are just three weeks out from the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, which you can tell because it has cleared the release calendar around it like the Chicxulub crater. Ahead of the big day, our friends at Edge magazine visited Rockstar's Edinburgh development HQ to chat with the studio's leaders and put their eyes on GTA 6 in action. That's right folks, it's officially happening. This thing is officially almost a videogame you can play.
The result? The 16-page cover story coming in Edge #430, on sale October 29. They've really been cooking over there, bringing us a bunch of exclusive new imagery, interviews with Rockstar head honchos, and a special gatefold cover with artwork of Jason and Lucia, about whom I already have very strong feelings.
If you're in the UK, you're in luck, because you can pick up the GTA 6 special edition free, plus 13 issues of Edge at 38% off the price you'd pay at the newsstand if you subscribe at this link.
Outside the UK? Don't fret, because new subs will get a free digital edition of the GTA 6 special issue if you subscribe here.
And wherever you are, the full 16-page feature will drop here for everyone to read for free on October 29, coinciding with the release of the magazine.

It's lavish, lovely, and in-depth—so all very Edge, and if you're one of the approximately 8 billion people who are desperate to know more about the most-anticipated game in Rockstar's history (or, well, just history in general, probably), you're gonna want to feast your eyes on it.

One of Josh's first memories is of playing Quake 2 on the family computer when he was much too young to be doing that, and he's been irreparably game-brained ever since. His writing has been featured in Vice, Fanbyte, and the Financial Times. He'll play pretty much anything, and has written far too much on everything from visual novels to Assassin's Creed. His most profound loves are for CRPGs, immersive sims, and any game whose ambition outstrips its budget. He thinks you're all far too mean about Deus Ex: Invisible War.
