It was announced five years ago, and cancelled two years ago, but the sequel to Prey has shown a Rasputin-like resolve to not go quietly into the night—though this is more of a remake than a sequel. It looks different, for sure. We’ve also learned Chris “Too Many RPGs To List” Avellone is working on the sci-fi shooter, which will arrive sometime next year.
Sea of Thieves

When’s it out? Early 2017
Rare's multiplayer pirate adventure got a somewhat vague teaser last year, but this year we actually saw it being played—in a slightly annoying, giddy streamer sort of way, but still, it was nice to see. It looks like a fair amount of team coordination will be required to sail ships and sink foes, though we're still not sure how much depth or lasting appeal we'll find among Sea of Thieves' seas. Call us cautiously optimistic for now, and we'll have some hands-on impressions soon.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

The new CoD: Infinite Warfare gameplay trailer that debuted at the Sony conference was really pretty good. You’ve got space dogfighting, extravehicular activity (the activity is shooting), zero-G grappling, and hull breaching. Yeah, we typically know what to expect from Call of Duty—a lot of yelling and forward movement—but at least this particular scene looks varied and fun. Our open minds are waiting to play it as always, every year into eternity.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole

We forgot this one initially: South Park is taking on superhero movies this time, with a civil war sparked over the kids' film franchise ambitions. The new trailer roasts Marvel for constant rehashes and only now getting to a Black Panther film—and DC for being DC. You can also watch Matt and Trey's full reveal, which shows a good amount of gameplay. Fart.

Madden 2017 — Will this series ever ‘touchdown’ on PC? We doubt it! It's a shame they always 'pass' on PC, but at least we have puns.
The Last Guardian — We’re surprised it even has a release date for PS4.
God of War — Big war dads are for PlayStation owners only.
Spider-Man PS4 Game — Given that the working title is ‘Spider-Man PS4 Game’ we have our doubts.
Days Gone — Another Sony exclusive. It’s too bad, because there are hardly any open world survival games on PC. Maybe someday the genre will catch on here.
Detroit: Become Human — This should really be called Android Cop. But anyhow, Quantic Dream isn’t likely to release a new PC game.
Horizon Zero Dawn — You can tell this is a PS4 exclusive because its title is just three words that don’t make much sense together.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild — Nintendo’s extensive PC library is big enough already, though this is a very PC-like game.
Pokemon Sun and Moon — May come to PC as a Minecraft mod.
