Want to know how you can romance Panam Palmer in Cyberpunk 2077? Panam won't appear until you've reached Act 2, but you don't have to worry about missing her. Like Judy Alvarez, another of the game's romance options, she's introduced in the main story quests. You'll get to unlock Panam's set of side missions once you've completed her part in the story, starting with Ghost Town.

Of course, getting your friendship to develop into a full-on romance isn't just going to happen—there are a number of things you'll need to do to help the relationship blossom and allow you to settle down with this feisty nomad. As such, beware of spoilers ahead but if you want to know what you need to do to start the Cyberpunk 2077 Panam Palmer romance, read on below.

Recent updates

February 2024: Cyberpunk 2.0 and Phantom Liberty are both available now, and with them came a few fixes and changes to Panam's romance. Outside of more texts and interactions, there's nothing majorly different about romancing Panam from older playthroughs, but it should at least be a much smoother journey. Some specifics from those patch notes include:

Update 2.0: "Queen of the Highway - Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to complete the "Talk to Panam." objective on older saves."
Update 2.1: "V will now be able to invite their love interest to spend some time together in any of the apartments."

How to start the Cyberpunk 2077 Panam Palmer romance

Panam is only interested in V if they have a male body type so the ladies will have to sit this one out, I'm afraid.

You'll first meet Panam during the Ghost Town story mission and she'll appear in the next couple of quests that you encounter too. Your romance is safe for now though as there's nothing you can do during these story missions that will jeopardise your chances with Panam. Once you've finished the Life During Wartime story quest, you'll need to wait at least 12 in-game hours and you should then receive a call from Panam which will start you off on her own questline. This starts with the Cyberpunk 2077 Riders on the Storm quest.

It's worth noting that it's possible to fail the Riders on the Storm quest which will halt Panam's story arc in its tracks and stop all possibilities of a romance with her. For this reason, it might be a good idea to make a manual save before continuing.

At one point during the Riders on the Storm mission, you'll need to head to Raffen Shiv camp. You'll be given the choice to make your own way there or ride with Panam. This choice doesn't matter but you must meet Panam at the camp within 24 in-game hours or the quest will fail. Similarly, if you choose to ride with Panam, but head to a different location, she'll kick you out but your romance is still on track if you meet her at the camp within the time limit mentioned above.

There are a couple more things you'll want to do during this quest, which happens when you spend the night at Ingali's farm. You should invite her to make herself comfortable when prompted and tell her you have a few ideas in the dialogue that follows.

With the Riders on the Storm quest out of the way, wait another 12 in-game hours to get another call from Panam which starts the next mission, With a Little Help From My Friends. There are also important choices to be made here, so be careful. When prompted, do not tell Saul about Panam's plan or the quest will end here. When Panam asks you why you're helping her later on, make sure you don't suggest you're doing it for the cash or any thoughts of romance you had will be over before they've begun.

Next, wait another 24 in-game hours for Panam's final mission, Queen of the Highway. After some alone time, when she asks if you want to push the synchronisation further, go with "Oh yeah. Let's go," to move into a full-blown relationship.
