Looking for the best weapon in Cyberpunk 2077? There are a lot of guns to pick and choose from during your time in Night City and the surrounding Badlands. With pistols, shotguns, rifles and more, each firearm is broken down into three categories: Power, Smart, and Tech. And if you prefer to get up-close and personal, there are a number of melee weapons to choose from, too.
The best weapons will likely come down to personal preference and playstyle. But if you're not quite sure where to start, this guide has you covered. So if you're ready to beef up your arsenal, read on to discover the best Cyberpunk 2077 weapons, along with where to pick them up.
The best Cyberpunk 2077 weapons
Skippy
Type: Smart Pistol
Where: In Act 2, head to an alley in Vista Del Rey.
This is one of the weirder guns you're likely to come across during your time in Night City. When you first pick it up, you'll be asked—by Skippy—which mode you'd like to set it to. The two modes are Stone Cold Killer, which means Skippy will automatically go for headshots, and Puppy Pacifist, which aims for non-lethal body shots.
To get the most out of it, you should choose Puppy Pacifist. Once you've acquired 50 kills with Skippy, he'll ask you why you chose the non-lethal mode. Pick "I don't know" to have Skippy change to Stone Cold Killer mode permanently.

Lizzie
Type: Tech Pistol
Where: Inside Lizzie's Bar during the main story mission, Automatic Love.
The Lizzie pistol is a great addition to your setup as it fires an extra round whenever you shoot it. And if you want to pack a bit more punch, charge up a shot to increase its power and unleash a burst of bullets into your target. It also has a chance to inflict burn damage
If you're keen to get your hands on this pink pistol, you'll find it in Act 2, during the Automatic Love main story mission. You can find it sitting on a table in Lizzie's bar, just after speaking to Judy.
Overwatch
Type: Power Sniper Rifle
Where: At the end of Riders on the Storm side mission.
If you prefer to keep your distance and take out enemies from a vantage point, the Overwatch sniper rifle has everything you need. It may not have much in the way of exciting perks or bonuses, but the high base damage ensures you can take out enemies with little fuss. If you like to keep a low profile, the built-in silencer is handy too.

Mantis Blades
Type: Melee weapon
Where: Purchase from any ripperdoc once you have 20 street cred
Mantis Blades are technically classed as Cyberpunk 2077 cyberware. As such, they'll need to be bought from and installed by a ripperdoc. The base version will set you back around 15k Eurodollars and you'll need at least 20 street cred to obtain them.
Are they worth the eddies? Absolutely. Providing you don't mind looking like some kind of grotesque mechanical insect, these blades will slash through enemies with ease. As an added bonus, you'll also be able to unlock an ability that lets you leap to your target to deal devastating damage. Divided We Stand
Type: Smart Assault Rifle
Where: Win the shooting competition during the Stadium Love side job.
Like other Smart weapons, this assault rifle homes in on targets and inflicts chemical damage with a high chance to leave the target poisoned. It's high critical hit chance and headshot multiplier make this is a solid choice for one of your weapon slots.
To get Divided We Stand, you need to pick up the side job Stadium Love, located in Rancho Coronado, and win the shooting competition. There is a catch though—you'll need to drink a shot between each round. In order to access this side quest, you'll first need to complete the Playing for Time main story mission.
Malorian Arms 3516 (Johnny's gun)
Type: Power Pistol
Where: In Act 2 during the Chippin' In side mission
The Malorian Arms 3516 might not immediately strike you as being one of the best weapons, but with its headshot damage multiplier, it's one of the more deadly additions you can make to your arsenal. On top of that, this particular gun was custom-made for Johnny Silverhand, and if that's not the best recommendation, I don't know what is.

Widow Maker
Type: Tech Precision Rifle
Where: In Act 2 during the Ghost Town main story mission.
Just like the Lizzie Tech Pistol, the Widow Maker fires an extra round with every shot. Charged shots with this precision rifle do even more damage and every bullet has the chance to inflict chemical damage and leave a bleed effect on the target.
You can loot the Widow Maker from Nash during the Ghost Town story mission. Just make sure you agree to help Panam with her plan to take him out, then head to the cave for the confrontation. You'll be able to nab this powerful precision rifle once you've taken care of Nash.
