Chivalry 2 has been widely praised and enjoyed strong success in the year since its release. The popular successor to the original took the best parts of the original, which essentially pioneered the first person slasher genre, and built on them to make an even better game.
Chivalry 2, published by Tripwire Presents, launched on Steam on June 12th and to celebrate, in addition to offering the game for 40% off until July 7th, Tripwire and developer Torn Banner Studios has announced the free “Midsommar Event'' for a limited time to bring even more carnage and mayhem to the battlefield.
In this new seasonal event, players will get limited-time access to a new map set in the popular Brawl mode, a FFA (free for all) where players fight without traditional weapons, using whatever's lying around—drumsticks, tankards, chairs, and other breakable props to win the match. The result is a whole lot of fun….and skull bashing.
Taking place in the fields of Aberfell, the Mason druid warlords and peasantry host a festival that would make any Agathian shriek in terror—and you’re invited! Things soon get out of control however, as during the obligatory dance, two druids enter a heated discussion. Is this part of the ceremony? Who cares, it’s a brawl now! There’s plenty of food and limbs to pick up and toss around for all!
