Black Friday, the consumerist temple to which otherwise fiscally reasonable humans might sacrifice their bank accounts, is coming. I mean, it's always coming, such is the way of an annual event, but we are now just a month away from the big day. But Black November is kinda the thing now, and that means we're going to see the best Black Friday PC gaming deals littering the tech shelves all the way through the month. And probably beyond through to Christmas.
But we've been checking over prices all year long, and we'll be updating this page along with our regular deals pages, to keep you up to date with the lie of the land in terms of prices.
The first rule of this list: no junk. We spend our weeks testing the latest products to see if they're worthy of our PC gaming setups, and we're putting all that knowledge to work during this Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales season to recommend the best stuff you can buy. If we don't think it's any good, we're not going to recommend it just because it's on sale.
The second rule: real deals only. It can be hard to sort out the deals from the "deals" during these big sale events, so we're checking price histories and selecting only genuinely decent—or exceptional, when we find them—discounts on PC gaming stuff.
Our goal: Save you from having to trawl though pages of bad products and not-actually-deals on Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg yourself.
If you do want to directly browse the stores with the biggest sales on PC gaming gear right now, check out the quick links below. Otherwise, keep scrolling for our top recommendations, or use the navigation links to jump to a category.
When is Black Friday 2024?
The big Black Friday officially kicks off first thing on Friday November 29, 2024, but in reality the sales bonanza will start well before that and last long after, too.
There is likely to be a big push from a lot of the major retailers to encourage early spending ahead of Black Friday itself, which is going to make it a whole Black November month of teasing discounts.
After Black Friday itself the offers will continue through the weekend and into Cyber Monday and on into Cyber Week after that. Then it's Christmas gifting, then January sales, and then whatever they can come up with to hang a deal around come Valentine's Day.
What does 'price watch' mean?
We've added a new "price watch" qualifier to all our individual deals, making it easy to see whether a price has gone up 🔼 or down 🔽 since we last checked it out. It's important to note that any deal in this guide (even if it's slightly risen in price) is still one of our top picks, as we only show you deals that are actually worth buying.

Today's top deals
1. ABS Aeolian-M Ruby | Ryzen 7 7700X | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super | 32 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $2,099.99 $1,649.99 at Newegg (save $450)
This ABS build is stellar value for high-end gaming thanks to its RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. If it was paired with a better CPU such as a recent Core i7, it would make for a fantastic productivity build, too. But it's a worthy sacrifice, because the 7700X is more than enough for gaming and everyday tasks, and this way you get a low price tag to boot.
2. Yeyian Tanto | Intel Core i5 13400F | RTX 4070 Super | 16 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $1,599.99 $1,199.99 at Newegg (save $400)
Yeyian has a stellar deal on an RTX 4070 Super machine here. We've seen slightly cheaper versions on sale, but this one at least does have proper DDR5 memory, making the motherboard at least nominally upgradeable to a more modern spec. It does make a bit of an odd combo with the Core i5 here, though for straightforward gaming performance it shouldn't prove any issue and deliver high frame rates.
3. Lenovo Legion 5i | RTX 4070 | Core i9 14900HX | 16-inch | 1600p | 240 Hz | 32 GB DDR5 5600 | 1 TB SSD | $1,799.99 $1,399.99 at B&H Photo (save $300)
Lenovo Legion gaming laptops have been excellent performers for a while now, and this one has specs to impress. The CPU is a 24 core (8 Performance 16 efficient) powerhouse, plus you get a proper 32 GB of RAM to play with. Match that with a 140 W RTX 4070 and a 240 Hz screen and this laptop is virtually flawless for the money. 2 TB of storage would be nice if I was being picky, but 1 TB will do you fine.
Price check: Best Buy $1,899.99
4. Lenovo Legion Pro 7 | RTX 4080 | Core i9 14900HX | 16-inch | 1600p | 240 Hz | 32 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $2,649 $1,999 at B&H Photo (save $650)
Lenovo make some brilliant gaming laptops, and this Legion Pro 7 is no exception. Featuring the mighty RTX 4080 in combination with Intel's top spec Core i9 mobile CPU, this high-end model should have no trouble tearing through any game you can throw at it. The screen is plenty speedy too with a 240 Hz refresh rate, and 32 GB of fast DDR5 is not to be sniffed at.
Price check: Newegg (2 TB SSD model) $2,499.99
5. Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 | RTX 4070 | Intel Core i7-13620H | 16-inch | 165 Hz | 1080p | 512 GB SSD | 16 GB DDR4 3200 | $1,599.99 $1,149.99 at Best Buy (save $400)
There's a couple of caveats here to be aware of, but this thin, light and powerful little laptop is still a superb deal. You get a 120 W RTX 4070, a 10 core (six performance, four efficient) Intel chip, and 16 GB of DDR4. That 512 GB SSD is on the small side, but there's two M2 slots so it's easy to drop in some extra storage—and while that screen is only 1080p, it's still a vibrant and fast panel.
Price check: Newegg $1,599
6. ASRock Phantom Gaming | 27-inch | 1080p | 165 Hz | IPS | FreeSync | $179.99 $99.77 at Newegg (save $79.22)
ASRock has become a favorite of ours around here over busy shopping periods. These screens always seem to be on offer, and from the one we've used (read our review) they're good value for the money, too. You can't really complain with this 165Hz panel for just under $100.
7. Acer Nitro ED270U | 27-inch | 1440p | VA | FreeSync Premium | 170 Hz | $249.99 $139.99 at Newegg (save $110)
This is one of the best deals on a 1440p gaming monitor we've seen so far. A respectable brand and a respectable spec, although it might be worth holding out for an IPS panel. Still, a good price on a great little screen.
Price check: Amazon $169.99
8. MSI MAG 321UP | 32-inch | 165 Hz | QD-OLED | $829.99 $799.99 at Amazon (save $30)
What a difference a letter makes... especially when it comes to gaming monitors. The code names given to monitors are often impenetrable, but the difference between this MAG 321UP and the MAG321UPX is that this one has a 165 Hz refresh instead of 240 Hz. That's the only difference between this and more expensive OLED, otherwise, you're still getting a gorgeous 4K panel, with response times to die for, and pixel quality, I dunno, to live for? If you're not concerned about the refresh rate difference (and do you have the hardware to hit a matching 240 fps otherwise?) then this is where the smart OLED money is spent.
Price check: Newegg $799.99
9. Team Group MP44L | 1 TB | M.2 2280 | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000 MB/s read | 4,500 MB/s write | $79.99 $56.99 at Newegg (save $23)
The MP44L is far from being the fastest SSD you can buy but for the money, you really can't complain. The read/write speeds are pretty low compared to others in our curated list, but they're still fast enough for most users and way better than a SATA SSD. If you avoid using it for heavy data transfers, you'll have no problems with it.
Price check: Amazon $56.99
10. Nextorage G-LE | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,400 MB/s write | $134.99 $107.99 at Amazon (save $27)
This DRAM-less Nextorage drive still has plenty of pace about it, and if you're just using it as an extra game library SSD to contend with your expanding library, but still need some storage speed, it's a great option. The extra cache can come in handy as a boot drive, increasing responsiveness for smaller write operations, but for games, this more affordable option can be a good way to save some cash on a new build or upgrade.

Ipason gaming PC | Ryzen 5 5600G | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $599 $431 at Walmart (save $168)
The Ryzen 5 5600G's Vega GPU isn't going to get you playing the latest games at high resolutions, but for some lite 720p gaming it should do fine. The main goal is to have a base that you can upgrade from with a proper discrete GPU. If you have a slightly bigger budget and can afford this one rather than the NXS, you'll have the peace of mind of 1 TB SSD storage, too, which is very rare at this price point and will be much more useful than the above build's 512 GB.
Price watch: ➖
Ipason gaming desktop | Ryzen 5 5600 | Radeon RX 7600 | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $1399 $689 at Newegg (save $710)
If you don't want to get busy with a screwdriver, Ipason has a budget offering with a built-in upgrade over its $489 5600G-sporting PC, this time with an RX 7600 GPU at its heart. That offers sometimes better than RTX 4060 gaming performance, and the full system comes with a solid back-up spec, too. The Ryzen 5 5600 might not be the latest and greatest but it's still very capable as a gaming CPU, and that 1 TB SSD gives you a decent amount of space for a few big games and all your files. Nobody would pay the supposed "original" price of $1399 for this rig, but at sub-$700 it's a genuinely good deal.
Price watch: ➖
Yeyian Yumi | Ryzen 5 5600X | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $1,199 $779.99 at Newegg (save $419.01)
The Yumi is a bit of a classic when it comes to gaming PC deals, as it's always there or thereabouts. At the moment this is the cheapest RTX 4060-based PC we've found, and comes with a supporting spec that is absolutely solid, even if it's not the latest and greatest. The combination of DDR4 RAM and a previous-gen Ryzen 5 might not be top-end, but this machine will still deliver great performance for under a grand.
Price watch: ➖
ABS Cyclone Aqua | Core i5 13400F | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 32 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $999.99 $799.99 at Newegg (save $200 with code SSDYAA36)
This ABS rig with an RTX 4060 is about the cheapest you'll find for something with 32 GB RAM and a relative new CPU. On their own, an extra 16 GB RAM or a slight CPU upgrade might not be worth the $100 extra for a budget build, but together? In combination, these upgrades should ensure your PC has the grunt even for some moderate productivity tasks, giving you that extra peace of mind.
Price watch: ➖
Yeyian Tanto gaming PC | Core i5 14400F | RTX 4060 Ti | 32 GB DDR5-6000 | 1 TB SSD | $1399.99 $949.99 at Newegg (save $450)
This is a sub-$1,000 gaming PC and it has an RTX 4060 Ti, need I say more? It's a great price for a rig with this entry-level/midrange graphics card, and it even comes with speedy DDR5 RAM. Just be aware that the "F" in the name means it lacks integrated graphics, so if your 4060 Ti ever goes kaput, you'll have no video-out.
Price watch: ➖
Yeyian Tanto | Intel Core i5 13400F | RTX 4070 | 16 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $1,599 $1,079.99 at Newegg (save $519.01)
RTX 4070 machines can vary in price and specification quite significantly, but here you're getting that great 1440p GPU (with even some 4K credentials thanks to DLSS 3), a nice and speedy Core i5 paired with some good DDR5 RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. For close to a thousand bucks, that's a really great selection of hardware that makes it a great gaming rig for more like budget prices. It doesn't have the 4070 Super might of the Skytech build above, but it has a more up-to-date CPU and RAM.

It does make a bit of an odd combo with the Core i5 here, though for straightforward gaming performance, it shouldn't prove any issue and deliver high frame rates.

This is a great option for those of you looking for a powerful build with an AMD GPU that doesn't break the bank. The great thing about the 7800 XT is that you're getting 16 GB of VRAM for a reasonable price. It performs somewhere between the RTX 4070 and 4070 Super, too, so it'll do just fine for 1440p and even some 4K gaming.
Price watch: ➖
Skytech Shiva | Core i5 14400F | RTX 4070 Super | 32 GB DDR5-5200 | 1 TB SSD | $1699.99 $1,349.99 at Newegg (save $350)
This Skytech RTX 4070 Super build costs more than the Yeyian Tanto 4070 Super build above, but for that extra cost you're getting a slightly better CPU and an extra 16 GB of (admittedly slower) RAM. Plus, you get that lovely white chassis.

ABS Aeolian-M Ruby | Ryzen 7 7700X | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super | 32 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $2,099.99 $1,649.99 at Newegg (save $450)
This ABS build is stellar value for high-end gaming thanks to its RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. This ABS machine, in addition to housing the stellar RTX 4070 Ti Super, has 32 GB of speedy RAM, a high-end CPU, and heaps of RGB. It also has a more powerful CPU than the other ABS build above. In other words, all the prospective high-end gamer should need. It only has a 1 TB SSD, but that's one of the easiest components to upgrade down the line.

Alienware Aurora R16 | Core i9 14900F | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super | 1 TB SSD | $2,399.99 $1,799.99 at Dell (save $600)
Dell's been surprising us lately with some pretty fantastic deals on its Alienware gaming PCs. This one in particular sits on our list because of that beefy Core i9 CPU. Combined with an RTX 4070 Ti Super and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, you have a solid all-round system for both high-end gaming and productivity. Just keep in mind that upgrading stuff might be a little more difficult down the line than with a custom PC thanks to all the proprietary parts.

ABS Kaze Ruby | Ryzen 7 7700X | Nvidia RTX 4080 Super | 32 GB DDR5-6000 | 1 TB SSD | $2,399.99 $1,949.99 at Newegg (save $450)
With this rig, for less than $2,000 you're getting the most powerful graphics card barring the usually overkill RTX 4090, a CPU that's perfectly suitable for gaming, 32 GB of fast DDR5 RAM, and even a 1,000 W power supply. It should handle any game you throw on-screen with ease. The only real sacrifice is the 1 TB of storage, but that'll be easy to upgrade down the line. There's little not to love.

ABS Eurus Aqua | Core i9 14900KF | Nvidia RTX 4080 Super | 32 GB DDDR5-6000 | 2 TB SSD | $2,699.99 $2,249.99 at Newegg (save $450 with code BFABS0547)
With this ABS RTX 4080 Super build, you're getting an Intel Core i9 14900KF for some of the best productivity performance barring the latest high-end 9000-series chips. If content creation or productivity work is a consideration, this ABS rig is probably the one to go for. Just ensure you install the latest microcode BIOS to prevent instability issues.

Skytech Legacy | Ryzen 7 7800X3D | Nvidia RTX 4080 Super | 64 GB DDR5-5600 | 2 TB SSD | $3,099.99 $2,579.99 at Newegg (save $520)
This build is everything a gamer might want. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the best gaming CPU out right now and in this build it's paired with what is the most powerful graphics card barring the ridiculously expensive RTX 4090. Throw in a whopping 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and this Skytech build has more than enough to demolish any game in its path. It even has 2 TB of storage, so you shouldn't go running out of space for game installs any time soon.

ABS Kaze Aqua | Core i9 13900K | RTX 4090 | 32 GB DDR5-6000 | 2 TB SSD | $3,699.99 $2,999.99 at Newegg (save $700)
You might still have to pay a pretty penny, but what you're getting here is the fastest gaming GPU you can currently buy in conjunction with a mega-fast i9 13900K and a healthy dose of DDR5. 2 TB of storage, too, which should give you plenty of room for a load of games and files. Deciding between this one and the Skytech Azure probably comes down to whether you want a CPU purely for gaming or for productivity, too. And whether you mind having to install a microcode update to keep this i9 build stable.

Skytech Azure | Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4090 | 32 GB DDR5-5200 | 2 TB SSD | $3,999.99 $3,199.99 at Newegg (save $800)
This is a huge amount of cash to spend on a gaming PC, but it gets you the best gaming CPU and the best graphics card in one powerful package. And that can't be bad, can it? With that, you get 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, 2 TB of fast storage, and a hoofing great 1 KW power supply. Oof. If you really need that 4090, this is a solid price for a very extravagant build.

Steam Deck (LCD) | 512 GB SSD | $449 at Steam
Okay, the Steam Deck may have had an OLED refresh but the original version is still the archetype of what a mobile PC gaming device should be. It's just as powerful as the most recent model so all those Steam Deck compatible games should run well. It's the OG PC gaming handheld, and it still demands respect.

Let's be upfront about this—8 GB of RAM is not enough in 2024. But when you're talking about a gaming notebook that costs just $650, but with a decent RTX 40-series GPU inside it, I can swallow it. Especially when you can easily upgrade the RAM with just a wee screwdriver in-hand. And 16 GB of fast dual-channel DDR5 is just $50-odd right now. The RTX 4050 is just a 75 W variant, so not the outright fastest, but will still definitely do the job at 1080p, and for this money, that's all you can ask.

Let's be up front here—the mobile RTX 4050 isn't a particularly powerful gaming GPU. However, if you're on a tight budget and looking to take advantage of DLSS 3, this discount lappy has a lot going for it. It's got a decently fast display, a chunky little six core Zen 4 CPU, 16 GB of DDR5 and a relatively subtle chassis design. I'd upgrade the SSD to something bigger for cheap, but otherwise it's a decent budget gaming machine for the price.

This is the cheapest we've seen a proper RTX 4060 laptop for a while, with an all round selection of components that makes a lot of sense. It's a shame about the 512 GB SSD, but you can always stick a bigger one in it from our cheap SSD deals page.

This is a gaming laptop deal that makes it tough to recommend RTX 4060 machines for anything over $1,000. With a genuine RTX 4070 GPU in a system for this much you're got a lot of gaming power for a great price. We did see a 12th Gen version for $980 around Black Friday last year, so there is precedent, but this laptop represents great value.

You're only getting a 1080p screen here, which is a bit of a shame as the rest of the components are all rather excellent. Still, that RTX 4070 will have no problem pushing that 144 Hz panel to its limits in many games at that res, plus the 10 core (six P-core, four Efficient) CPU has some decent DDR5 to play with. It's not perfect, but for this money it's an excellent deal.

With a blazingly fast 240 Hz 1600p display and Intel's super-powered Core i9 13900HX, this Dell gaming lappy has quite the spec sheet. You get a proper 140 W RTX 4070 as well—although it must be said that it's not the prettiest machine, nor the most compact. Still, it should deliver some proper mobile gaming firepower for a surprisingly small amount of cash.

Lenovo Legion gaming laptops have been excellent performers for a while now, and this one has specs to impress. Match that with a 140 W RTX 4070 and a 240 Hz screen and this laptop is virtually flawless for the money. 2 TB of storage would be nice if I was being picky, but 1 TB will do you fine.

This is a big laptop that, for once, hasn't been packed with the most power-hungry and heat producing components, which is refreshing. That Core i7 is easier to keep cool than an i9 and it's a more suitable match for the 140W RTX 4070 alongside, which should have no problem pushing 1440p res gaming to that screen. Let's start with a caveat—the chassis here isn't exactly beautiful. But everything else about this laptop is great for the price, including a 140 W RTX 4070, a 16 core (six Performance, eight Efficient) Meteor Lake chip and a 16-inch 2000p LED backlit IPS display. That resolution might be a bit much for the RTX 4070 in demanding games, but there's always DLSS 3 to keep the frame rate smooth. 32 GB of DDR5 is great to see, too.

The RX 6600 is a quality 1080p GPU now that its price properly reflects its status. It usually fluctuates between $190 and $200, and even at $200, we're getting a budget graphics card that delivers high frame rates in the latest games at 1080p. PC gaming doesn't have to cost a fortune, you know?

With the RX 6600 XT stock starting to dwindle, it seems like the faster RX 6650 XT is taking its place as one of the best budget GPUs around. It's an 8GB GPU with the same core specs as the RX 6600 XT but has a slightly higher clock speed boost. We like the newer RX 7600 more, but it also costs a little more.

As the budget baby of the RDNA 3 family, the RX 7600 faces a lot of competition. Not just from Intel and Nvidia, but from AMD's previous generation of cards too. At this price, though, it's quite a bit cheaper than the RX 6700 XT and in some games, it performs nearly as well. It's not the most exciting of graphics cards, though.

You do get the full DLSS 3.5 suite, though, and it's pretty decent at encoding video for streaming. Nevertheless, we prefer AMD's RX 7600 or last-gen RX 6700.

Okay, 100 Hz isn't spectacular, but it is still notably smoother than 60 Hz. It's also not the brightest screen, rated at 250 nits peak, but the compromises will have to come in somewhere. ASRock's gaming monitors are always so darned cheap—we love them for that. This 1440p panel offers resolution and a rapid refresh rate for a potent PC gaming combo, though the built-in Wi-Fi antenna helps it stand out from the crowd. That's hardly essential, but could come in use for some.

Those rocking the RTX 4090 might be better off with the higher refresh rate of the Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SC, but the rest of us can take advantage of this very wide, very pretty looking panel for a bit less.

MSI MAG 321UPX | 32-inch | 240Hz | QD-OLED | $899.99 at Newegg
With its special launch price of $949, the MSI MAG 321UPX was already by far the cheapest of the new generation of gorgeous high-pixel density 4K gaming OLEDs. But you can already get for $50 off. It makes most 27-inch 1440p OLEDs look painfully overpriced. It may be out of stock when you click through, but it's worth checking back for this great deal.

It's not flashy, but honestly, do you need anything more than a fast and reliable drive from a good brand at a great price? HP's FX900 Pro certainly fits all those parameters, and with these kinds of speeds on offer, this SSD is no slouch. It has all the specs you might want at this level, including 1 GB of DRAM for heavy workloads.

XPG Gammix S55 M.2 2230 | 512 GB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000 MB/s read | 3,700 MB/s writes | $50.99 at Newegg
Buy the cheapest Steam Deck you can find and then slap one of these into it for a welcome boost in storage capacity and performance. It's as basic as they come but in this case, that's a good thing as you're not paying for anything you won't need.
Price check: Walmart $50.99

Team Group MP44L | 1 TB | M.2 2280 | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000 MB/s read | 4,500 MB/s write | $79.99 $56.99 at Newegg (save $23)
The MP44L is far from being the fastest SSD you can buy but for the money, you really can't complain. The read/write speeds are pretty low compared to others in our curated list, but they're still fast enough for most users and way better than a SATA SSD. If you avoid using it for heavy data transfers, you'll have no problems with it.

Nextorage NEM-PAB | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s Read | 6,100 MB/s write | $149.99 $67.99 at Newegg (save $82)
Nextorage may be a relatively new name in NMVe SSDs but don't be fooled by appearances. This drive uses the ubiquitous Phison E18 controller, and the 1 TB version represents excellent price/performance value here. This version without a DRAM cache makes it less responsive than the DRAM-equipped NEM-PA model, despite having a slight advantage in stated straight-line performance. Check out our review of the NEM-PA for more.
Price check: Amazon $84.99

Lexar NM790| 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | $99.99 $74.99 at Amazon (save$25)
For anyone looking for a cheap, spacious drive offering serious performance, this is a genuinely brilliant SSD for the money. Our review of the 4 TB version clearly shows just how good it is.

Crucial MX500 | 1 TB | 2.5" | SATA 6 Gb/s | 560 MB/s read | 510 MB/s write | $86.95 $79.98 at Newegg (save $6.97)
Not enough M.2 NVMe slots on your motherboard for more storage? No problem—you can still install a speedy SSD via a SATA port. The Crucial MX500 is pretty much the best out there, as nothing else offers the same blend of performance and value for money as the MX500. It's also available in 2 TB and 4 TB sizes, with the prices scaling on par with the storage capacity.

WD Black SN850X | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,300 MB/s write | $93.99 $83.99 at Amazon (save $10)
This is still our favorite SSD for gaming, despite the strong competition and volatile prices. Unlike the cheaper SN770, the SN850X encapsulates the best PCIe 4.0 offers in terms of performance (check out our review). That makes it a great fit for a boot drive with space to spare for your game library, and at this price, we're happy to pay the premium for its higher speed.
Price check: Best Buy $89.99
Price watch:➖
Lexar Play 2230 | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 5,200 MB/s read | 4,700 MB/s write | $109.99 at Amazon
For Steam Deck upgrades, the Lexar Play is our new favorite and you can see why in our full review. It's fast for a 2230 size format, with great sustained performance. It also runs cool, even under a heavy load. The only negative is the fact that 1 TB is the largest capacity available and its price is volatile.
Price watch:➖
Team Group Cardea Z540 | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 5.0 | 11,700 MB/s read | 9,500 MB/s write | $189.99 $139.99 at Newegg (save $50)
If you absolutely must have the fastest possible SSD, you need to get a Gen5 model. Team Group's Z540 is ridiculously quick in benchmarks but no game exists yet that takes advantage of that speed. As with all Gen5 SSDs, it's very expensive and runs really hot, so it's probably best to wait for the next round of PCIe 5.0 SSDs before taking the plunge.

You might not know Silicon Power from Samsung, but this SSD is well-received by our friends at Tom's Hardware. It offers plenty of speed for a Steam library expansion but with a meager cost per gigabyte of just five cents. It's not the fastest SSD out there, though.

There's no DRAM to boost sustained performance and the SLC cache isn't especially big, either. But the speed is good enough for most workloads and when 1 TB of storage costs this much, who cares that it's not flash or fancy? Not us, that's for sure.

Nextorage NEM-PAB | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,900 MB/s write | $249.99 $109.99 at Newegg (save $140)
You can expect top performance out of this drive, which is impressive for the price. This version without a DRAM cache makes it a little less responsive than the DRAM-equipped NEM-PA model, despite having a slight advantage in stated straight-line performance. Unfortunately, this drive's price is volatile, but it's still one of the better-value 2 TB drives with a heatsink right now.

This Team Group drive isn't the fastest compact SSD you can stick in your Steam Deck, but it is one of the cheapest 2TB drives you'll be able to find for your wee handheld gaming PC. And it will also be a little quicker than the stock drive the Deck ships with, too.

Lexar NM790 | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | $189.99 $139.99 at Amazon (save $50)
This SSD is a great deal right now and Lexar has put together a superb SSD in the NM790. Thanks to high-layer NAND and a low-power controller, you get tons of storage here on an energy-efficient and great-performing drive for not much cash and often much less cash than the competition. Our favorite SSD for gaming right now encapsulates the best PCIe 4.0 offers in terms of performance (check out our review). That makes it a great fit for a boot drive with space to spare for your game library but while it's super fast and reliable, prices are really volatile.

Silicon Power XS70 | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,800 MB/s write | $179.99 $144.52 at Amazon (save $35.47)
Prices for the XS70 are some of the most variable I've seen for an SSD, so it's perhaps worth waiting to see if the price dips again before picking one up. It packs rather a large bang for your buck with its fast read and write times, at least. While the software side of things may be a little lacking, we were impressed with this drive's overall performance and value proposition.

It's a fair chunk of cash for a slow SSD but if you're looking for lots of storage and don't need a blazing NVMe drive, then this is the cheapest way of putting a 4 TB SSD in your gaming PC. Just don't expect it to sustain full speed under heavy workloads and you'll be fine.

Silicon Power UD90 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000 MB/s read | 4,500 MB/s write | $239.99 $199.99 at Amazon (save $40)
This Silicon Power might not be the fastest of drives, but it's difficult to argue with this much storage for this sort of money. With a sequential read/write of 5,000 MB/s and 4,500 MB/s, it's still not what you'd call slow and should be fine for gaming; plus it comes from a reliable brand.

Team Group MP44 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,900 MB/s write | $299.99 $230.99 at Amazon (save $69)
This Team Group boasts some mighty specs for the money, though it's actually the same hardware as in the Lexar NM790. The sequential read/write speeds are extremely high but it can only sustain them over short bursts. At this price, it's well worth putting up with that limitation.
Price watch:➖
Silicon Power XS70 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,200 MB/s read | 6,800 MB/s write | $309.99 $259.99 at Amazon (save $50)
High-performance 4TB SSDs are starting to rocket in price but if you absolutely must have one, this is an excellent choice. Mountains of storage and blistering speed—this XS70 has them both, but you'll be paying a pretty penny for it. At least it comes with a decent heatsink to keep temperatures under control.

Adata SE810 | 1 TB | USB 3.2 Gen2x2 | 2,000 MB/s read | 2,000 MB/s write | $89.99 $79.99 at Amazon (save $10)
Small, light, and very fast in the right USB port, this little SSD might be all you need for your external storage requirements. While we didn't think it offered a great amount of drop resistance in our review, the SE810 is rated to IP68, so it'll fend off dust and water ingress nicely.

Team Group PD20M | 1 TB | USB 3.2 Gen2x2 | 2,000 MB/s read | 2,000 MB/s write | $79.99 at Amazon
Not all external SSDs need to be big and bulky. This Team Group PD20M is just 40 g in weight and 8.2 mm thick, making it very portable. It's also MagSafe-compatible so you can attach it to the back of an iPhone and extend its storage, with an appropriate cable. As with all fast external SSDs, you'll need a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 (20 Gbps) port to get the full speed.

Samsung's external drives have a better recent history than its internal SSDs, so we've no hesitation in recommending the T7 for any professional looking for a large amount of storage that can be safely taken from place to place. They're designed to be rugged and fast, a potent combo. Oh, and they're available in three colors. Don't forget that you'll need to have a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port in your PC to get the best speed.

With a wide base and a simplistic design, the Phantom 3 isn't the most exciting-looking chair around, but it's all about the comfort and reliable build quality. We know all about AndaSeat quality at this point, and they're supremely robust chairs. The only real question about comfort is the pretty basic armrests and a bit of an awkward lumbar cushion.

Boulies Master Series | Ultraflex PU/Water-Resistant Fabric | $459.99 $379.99 at Boulies (save $70)
The Boulies Master series performed very well in our review, and the model we covered with the water-resistant fabric is covered under this discount as well. It's got comfortable armrests, good lumbar support and is very stable in all positions, and it looks the part to boot. It might be a little small for some, but the comfort on offer here makes it worthy of serious consideration.

Anda Seat Kaiser 3 Series | PVC leather or Fabric | $499.99 $429.99 at Anda Seat with discount code K3SS30 (save $70)
Another Andaseat chair, but this ones a little more premium, hence the price increase. In our review of the XL version we found it to be very comfy indeed with nice features like the magnetic snap-on neck support pillow and built in adjustable lumbar support. The adjustment knobs might be a bit fiddly, but overall this is a great gaming chair with a host of features even some of the more expensive thrones would love to have.

Asus ROG Azoth | 75% | Mechanical lubed switches | Hot-swappable | $249.99 $220.99 at Amazon (save $29)
Our top gaming keyboard is a larger, cheaper version of this board. I know, it's a little odd that this diddy board is actually the more expensive of the two, but that's because it's intended to be the most premium of the lot with a compact customisable OLED screen and all the trimmings. That includes sound dampening (which really does make for a satisfying clack) and lubed switches. It's a dream to type and game on, and at this price worth considering (though it's still pretty expensive, ngl).

The Razer BlackShark V2 X features a detachable cardioid mic, 7.1 surround sound and a 50mm set of well-balanced titanium drivers. It's a solid and dependable bit of gear, and while this isn't a gigantic discount we still think this price represents great value for money for such a high-performing headset.

Logitech G435 LIGHTSPEED | 40 mm drivers | 20-20,000Hz | Closed-back | Wireless | $79.99 $47.99 at Amazon (save $30.11)
This Logitech headset is a great entry point for those on a budget looking for a wireless solution and comes with a surprising set of features for the money. There's Dolby Atmos support, 18 hours of battery life, and a lightweight design, meaning these cans will stay comfortable for longer play sessions. The built-in microphones are not the best-sounding things we've ever heard but are perfectly functional, and at this price, we think this set makes a solid budget option.

Corsair HS65 | 50 mm drivers | 20-20,000 Hz | Closed-back | Wired | $69.99 $49.99 at Amazon (save $20)
The Corsair HS65 was an excellent value headset before it saw a discount, which means it's even more of a steal right now at just under 50 bucks. It's an excellently made headset with a super clear microphone. The HyperX Cloud Alpha below outperforms it but that price difference is nothing to sniff at.

HyperX Cloud III| 53 mm drivers | 15-25,000Hz | Closed-back | Wired | $99.99 $70.63 at Amazon (save $29.36)
While this might not be the hugest saving in the world, this HyperX Cloud III wired headset with over $20 off retail pricing is a good deal. When we reviewed this set of cans the only fault we could really find was with the price, so for this sort of money it's definitely worthy of some serious consideration.

HyperX Cloud Alpha | 50 mm drivers | 13-27,000 Hz | Closed-back | Wired | $99.99 $84.99 at Amazon (save $15)
The HyperX Cloud Alpha is super comfortable and sounds great. The mic can't flip to mute like some of the fancier offerings, but this is excellent value for a cushy headset with all the right features.

HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless | 50 mm drivers | 15-21,000Hz | Closed-back | Wireless | $199.99 $129.40 at Amazon (save $70.56)
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless is one of our all-time favorite gaming headsets for many reasons, but there's a big headline feature to talk about here: 300-hour battery life. No, we didn't make a typo. 300 hours of gaming goodness on a single charge, excellent DTS:X Spatial Audio, and premium comfort features make this headset an absolute stunner of a buy at this price. In fact, when we reviewed it the only major negative we could find was a slightly uninspiring microphone. Absolutely worth a serious look this one, at any level of discount.

Razer BlackShark V2 Pro | 50 mm drivers | 12-28,000Hz | Closed-back | Wireless | $179.99 $129.99 at Amazon (save $80)
This isn't the latest model but still one of our most beloved headsets. The refresh is grand and all, with a longer battery life and improved mic, but the original is still a great wireless headset, with the same excellent TriForce drivers delivering great audio. None of that awful Razer green nonsense here, either. These are comfy, stylish and come in sleek black or what we like to call the Stormtrooper aesthetic for the same price.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC | 40 mm drivers | 10-40,000Hz | Closed-back | Wired | $249.99 $169.96 at Amazon (save $87.99)
SteelSeries has a reputation for making fantastic gaming headsets, and this Arctis Pro + model is certainly no exception. It's got a crystal clear bidirectional mic, a super comfortable "ski goggle" fabric headband, and some great-sounding drivers, but the real thing to pay attention to here is its dedicated DAC+ amplifier with an OLED screen. This headset sounds absolutely brilliant as a result, and should jump straight to the top of your list at this price.

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX Headphones | 40 mm drivers | 10-41,000Hz | Open-back | Wired | $219 $199 at Drop (save $20)
A hot collab between Drop and Sennheiser, the HD 6XX headphones are essentially a variant of Sennheiser's ever-popular HD 650s in misty midnight blue. They have the same sound profile as the HD 650s—a nice, crisp, and clear response on the mids and highs—meaning you're set for some seriously nice audio for a seriously decent price.

What deals can I expect on Black Friday 2024?
We're so far into the current generation of both graphics cards and gaming laptops that, while you might see some last-gen GPUs in some discounted rigs, they're going to have to be seriously cheap to warrant picking over similarly priced current-gen systems.
But, because we are deep into this generation, and all the main cards have been dealt, there will be deals going down for the latest and greatest PC gaming tech. And that's pretty exciting. You can bet there will be a number of RTX 4060 gaming laptops and PCs going for less than $900 and that will be a great price for an entry level gaming system for sure.
Intel is only launched its Arrow Lake processors in October, and while we won't see any Core Ultra 200-series discounts, I wouldn't be surprised to see Intel's 14th and 13th Gen chips up for sale. And we've already seen AMD's early holiday discounts starting on its Zen 5 chips, and I'm positive its Zen 4 range is going to see some deep cuts this year.
There's been a serious price correction on memory over the last year and so DDR5 is now affordable so putting together a great gaming PC build is within your grasp this year. There has also been a glut of great SSDs deals, too with price drops so ludicrous you'd also be silly not picking up a 1TB drive, even as a spare. Maybe even a 2TB SSD.
Screens are another regularly discounted commodity around Black Friday, and we doubt this year will be any different. This means both the best gaming monitors and the best TVs for gaming could get some tasty deals, too.
And there will always be gaming mice and keyboards on sale come Black Friday too, so they're worth taking a look at. It's a great time of year to treat your butt to a quality gaming chair as well, which tend to enjoy some healthy price cuts this time of year.
What should I avoid buying on Black Friday 2024?
Anything you don't need. It's distressingly easy to be duped into dropping cash on something just because there's a hefty discount attached to it… even though you have absolutely no use for it.
If you're considering making a purchase around Black Friday, have a plan of attack. That probably sounds needlessly aggressive, but you need to know what you actually want to buy first or you'll end up with no end of crap. Cheap crap, maybe, but crap nonetheless.
Do some research on the products you'd like to pick up in the sales (we offer detailed hardware buying guides), and maybe some alternatives in case those don't pop up. Set yourself a strict budget too.
Products like graphics cards and processors have obvious tiers (though the different companies work damned hard to make product names as confusing as possible), and SSDs have rated speeds, but for peripherals, it's tougher to tell from the specs whether they're worth the money. Checking for reviews, from such luminaries as ourselves, should guide you on your way, and checking price trackers such as CamelCamelCamel will let you know if a deal's more than just skin deep.
Are there any Black Friday tips and tricks?
If you haven't already used it up during a credit card splurge around Amazon Prime Day, then you ought to take the opportunity to sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. That will get you early access to the Lightning Deals, and help you grab some of Jeff's best deals of the day. It will also net you free shipping on a host of products and speedy delivery too, and at the very worst it'll be handy when it comes to bagging some last-minute Christmas gifts for that aunt you always forget about.
Will prices drop any further?
There are always reasons to hold off on making a new purchase whenever you are thinking about making one. Whether it's the potential for a new generation of techie goodness on the horizon—either cutting prices on existing models or delivering tangible higher performance—or because there might be an imminent sale like Black Friday looming.
When picking out Black Friday and Cyber Monday PC gaming deals we take all of this into consideration, and where we think prices on something might significantly drop on the big day itself we simply won't recommend it. But all of the products here we either believe won't significantly drop much further in terms of their pricing, or are just good deals that we wouldn't hesitate recommending if you wanted to make a purchase today.
It's worth stating, too, that many retailers have already kicked off their Cyber Monday sales, and the likes of Newegg and Best Buy are offering their own kinds of price guarantees to give you some confidence in their current discounts.
