Cyber Week gaming headset deals 2023: giving the gift of great audio this deals season

Cyber Monday gaming headset deals

Deals season is here, and while Black Friday is over, there are still plenty of Cyber Week deals left over on the best gaming headsets . Some are at prices that are just too good to miss out on, and with discounts like these there's no excuse for not making all your games sound awesome. It's an often-overlooked part of the gaming experience, but devs put a huge amount of effort into the soundscapes of our favorite game worlds and it would be almost criminal not to hear them at their best.

There's a certain online advantage to good sound, too. Nail that positional audio in your headset and you'll pinpoint exactly where those footsteps are coming from and sneak up on your foe unawares.

This is a great time to make the switch to a wireless gaming headset, too. The two best wireless sets were on sale through Black Friday, and thankfully those great discounts are still here for Cyber Monday. Hopefully, they'll stick around for a few extra days into Cyber Week.

Of any wireless peripheral I would say a wireless gaming headset is the most useful, allowing you freedom of movement, enabling you to get up from your desk and go to the fridge without losing audio, and ridding you of that horrible scratching noise you get when the wire rubs against your jumper. I hate that.

Aside from their price, the downside of wireless is that you need to keep them charged up, so it's important that you make sure to bag a set with a healthy battery life. We'd suggest 25 hrs+ really to enable that whole day of gaming vibe.

But there are also some fantastic wired headsets on offer, too. They come in cheaper but often with better audio than some of their wireless brethren. Sometimes you have to decide which matters more, the freedom of a cable-free set, or just rocking sound quality. Though sometimes, you do get to have both.

The Razer Blackshark V2 X  features a detachable cardioid mic, 7.1 surround sound and a 50mm set of well-balanced titanium drivers. EPOS Sennheiser GSP 600 | 50mm drivers | 10-30,000kHz | Closed-back | Wired | $149.00 $70.80 at Amazon (save $78.20)
When we reviewed the Sennheiser GSP600 we found them firm but comfy, with excellent build quality and a fantastic soundstage. These pump audio at quite a considerable level, with excellent sub bass and crisp treble that might not be for everyone but certainly makes them a lively listening experience, and that gigantic mic definitely delivers. They may be a bit skull-crushing for some in both comfort and overall sound, but they make a compelling case for themselves nonetheless.

SteelSeries have a reputation for making fantastic gaming headsets, and this Arctis Pro + model is certainly no exception. It's got a crystal clear bidirectional mic, a super comfortable "ski goggle" fabric headband and some great sounding drivers, but the real thing to pay attention to here is its dedicated DAC+ amplifier with OLED screen. They have the same sound profile as the HD 650s—a nice, crisp and clear response on the mids and highs—meaning you're set for some seriously nice audio for a seriously decent price.

This time the partner in question is Epos, and the resulting cans sound absolutely gorgeous. These headphones are a little costly at their usual price, but they're going for a very reasonable amount this Black Friday.

When is Cyber Monday 2022?

Cyber Monday is set for November 28, 2022, trawling Black Friday like a lovesick puppy. The temptation is to look at Cyber Monday like the unwanted sibling of Black Friday, with just the dregs left on offer. But while it's still going to be tough to get the goods shipped ahead of Christmas, retailers will often have a stock of great deals set aside for Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday also kicks off Cyber Week, where you may find a bunch of other deals on PC hardware to stretch out the sales season.

What should I look for in a Cyber Monday gaming headset?

Gaming headsets have improved in the sound department in the last few years. The wider soundstage makes up for the severe lack of bass in many of these gaming headsets. Audiophiles might be a little turned off by the selection. But just in case you want sound quality over gaming features, we did make a list of some of the best headphones deals at the bottom of the page. You're welcome.

Of course, using headphones alongside a decent microphone is still an excellent option for gaming, and we've kept an eye on those too. Any wireless headset offering over 24 hours of battery life is worth a second look. Wired users should check the cable length. Six feet should be the minimum, or else you'll have the thing ripped off your head whenever you get up.

You might be tempted to pick a headset from a brand you never heard of because it's marked down 90%, but trust us, that's a waste of money. Check out product reviews and look at price histories using sites like this.

Since headsets seem like one of the only PC gaming products you actually can buy these days, there will be hundreds of options for you to choose from, with multiple retailers selling the same model at different discounts. But, don't' worry, we will let you know who's got the best deal for you.
