Black Friday, the consumerist temple to which otherwise fiscally reasonable humans might sacrifice their bank accounts, is nearly here. We are now less than a week away from the big day, and the deals have begun to flow already. Black Friday Week is kinda the thing now, and that means we're already seeing the best Black Friday PC gaming deals littering the tech shelves all the way through the month. And probably beyond through to Christmas.
But we've been checking over prices all year long, and we're currently updating this page along with our regular deals pages, to keep you up to date with the lie of the land in terms of prices.
The first rule of this list: no junk. We spend our weeks testing the latest products to see if they're worthy of our PC gaming setups, and we're putting all that knowledge to work during this Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales season to recommend the best stuff you can buy. If we don't think it's any good, we're not going to recommend it just because it's on sale.
The second rule: real deals only. It can be hard to sort out the deals from the "deals" during these big sale events, so we're checking price histories and selecting only genuinely decent—or exceptional, when we find them—discounts on PC gaming stuff.
Our goal: Save you from having to trawl though pages of bad products and not-actually-deals on Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg yourself.
If you do want to directly browse the stores with the biggest sales on PC gaming gear right now, check out the quick links below. Otherwise, keep scrolling for our top recommendations, or use the navigation links to jump to a category.
What does 'price watch' mean?
We've added a new "price watch" qualifier to all our individual deals, making it easy to see whether a price has gone up 🔼 or down 🔽 since we last checked it out. It's important to note that any deal in this guide (even if it's slightly risen in price) is still one of our top picks, as we only show you deals that are actually worth buying.

Today's top deals
1. ABS Aeolian-M Ruby | Ryzen 7 7700X | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super | 32 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $2,099.99 $1,649.99 at Newegg (save $450)
This ABS build is stellar value for high-end gaming thanks to its RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. If it was paired with a better CPU such as a recent Core i7, it would make for a fantastic productivity build, too. But it's a worthy sacrifice, because the 7700X is more than enough for gaming and everyday tasks, and this way you get a low price tag to boot.
2. Lenovo Legion 5i | RTX 4070 | Core i9 14900HX | 16-inch | 1600p | 240 Hz | 32 GB DDR5 5600 | 1 TB SSD | $1,799 $1,399 at B&H Photo (save $300)
Lenovo Legion gaming laptops have been excellent performers for a while now, and this one has specs to impress. The CPU is a 24 core (8 Performance 16 efficient) powerhouse, plus you get a proper 32 GB of RAM to play with. Match that with a 140 W RTX 4070 and a 240 Hz screen and this laptop is virtually flawless for the money. 2 TB of storage would be nice if I was being picky, but 1 TB will do you fine.
Price check: Best Buy $1,899.99
3. MSI MAG 321UP | 32-inch | 165 Hz | QD-OLED | $829.99 $699.99 at Amazon (save $130)
The code names given to monitors are often impenetrable, but the difference between this MAG 321UP and the MAG321UPX is that this one has a 165 Hz refresh instead of 240 Hz. That's the only difference between this and more expensive OLED, otherwise, you're still getting a gorgeous 4K panel, with response times to die for, and pixel quality, I dunno, to live for? If you're not concerned about the refresh rate difference (and do you have the hardware to hit a matching 240 fps otherwise?) then this is where the smart OLED money is spent.
Price check: Newegg $699.99
4. Yeyian Tanto | Intel Core i5 13400F | RTX 4070 Super | 16 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $1,599.99 $1,199.99 at Newegg (save $400)
Yeyian has a stellar deal on an RTX 4070 Super machine here. We've seen slightly cheaper versions on sale, but this one at least does have proper DDR5 memory, making the motherboard at least nominally upgradeable to a more modern spec. It does make a bit of an odd combo with the Core i5 here, though for straightforward gaming performance it shouldn't prove any issue and deliver high frame rates.
5. Lenovo Legion Pro 7 | RTX 4080 | Core i9 14900HX | 16-inch | 1600p | 240 Hz | 32 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $2,649 $1,999 at B&H Photo (save $650)
Lenovo makes some brilliant gaming laptops, and this Legion Pro 7 is no exception. Featuring the mighty RTX 4080 in combination with Intel's top spec Core i9 mobile CPU, this high-end model should have no trouble tearing through any game you can throw at it. The screen is plenty speedy too with a 240 Hz refresh rate, and 32 GB of fast DDR5 is not to be sniffed at.
Price check: Newegg (2 TB SSD model) $2,499.99
6. ASRock Phantom Gaming | 27-inch | 1080p | 165 Hz | IPS | FreeSync | $179.99 $99.77 at Newegg (save $79.22)
ASRock has become a favorite of ours around here over busy shopping periods. These screens always seem to be on offer, and from the one we've used (read our review) they're good value for the money, too. You can't really complain with this 165Hz panel for just under $100.
7. Acer Predator Helios 18 | RTX 4070 | Intel Core i7 13700HX | 18-inch | 165 Hz | 1600p | 1 TB SSD | 16 GB DDR5 4800 | $1499.99 $1,299.99 at Newegg (save $200)
We tend to like our gaming laptops on the small side, but this desktop-replacing behemoth is truly excellent value for what you get inside. There's a proper RTX 4070 handling the graphics duties, a nicely performant Core i7 13700HX and some decent DDR5 rounding off a powerful, if rather ginormous, gaming beast.
8. Acer Nitro XV271U M3bmiiprx | 27-inch | 180 Hz | 1440p | 0.5 ms G2G response | IPS | $289.99 $169.99 at Amazon (save $120)
This Acer monitor is a steal for all you prospective competitive gamers, hitting a high refresh rate and low response time sweet spot (0.5-1 ms gray-to-gray). It's the same price as the Odyssey G5 below but is better for those of you who prefer an IPS panel to a VA.
Price check: Newegg $242
9. Nextorage NEM-PAB | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,900 MB/s write | $249.99 $109.99 at Newegg (save $140)
You can expect top performance out of this drive, which is impressive for the price. This version without a DRAM cache makes it a little less responsive than the DRAM-equipped NEM-PA model, despite having a slight advantage in stated straight-line performance. Unfortunately, this drive's price is volatile, but it's still one of the better-value 2 TB drives with a heatsink right now.
Price check: Amazon $139.99
10. LG UltraGear 34GP63A-B | 34-inch | 160 Hz | 3440 x 1440 | VA | $399.99 $239.99 at Amazon (save $160)
At its current price, this LG ultrawide is a genuine bargain. By comparison, Alienware's fancy QD-OLED 34-inch panel is around $800 even on sale. This LG matches its size, resolution, aspect ratio and refresh rate for less than one-third of the price, although of course, it is a VA panel, not an OLED. It's also not the brightest gaming monitor ever, but it is a very good deal.
Price check: LG $239.99

Ipason gaming PC | Ryzen 5 5600G | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $849 $429 at Newegg (save $420)
Ignore the over-enthusiastic promised discount from the laughable $850 sticker price, this is a really good starter PC. The Ryzen 5 5600G's Vega GPU isn't going to get you playing the latest games at high resolutions on its own, but for some lite 720p gaming it should do fine. The main goal here, though, is to have a base that you can upgrade from with a proper discrete GPU down the line. Slap an RTX 4060 or RTX 4060 Ti in there for well under $400 and you've got a fine gaming PC without spending a fortune and you just need a screwdriver and the will to make it happen.
Price check: Walmart $479

Ipason gaming desktop | Ryzen 5 5600 | Radeon RX 7600 | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $1399 $689 at Newegg (save $710)
If you don't want to get busy with a screwdriver, Ipason has a budget offering with a built-in upgrade over its $429 5600G-sporting PC, this time with an RX 7600 GPU at its heart. That offers sometimes better than RTX 4060 gaming performance, and the full system comes with a solid back-up spec, too. The Ryzen 5 5600 might not be the latest and greatest but it's still very capable as a gaming CPU, and that 1 TB SSD gives you a decent amount of space for a few big games and all your files. Nobody would pay the supposed "original" price of $1399 for this rig, but at sub-$700 it's a genuinely good deal.

iBuypower Scale | Core i5 14400F | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 16 GB DDR5-5200 | 1 TB SSD | $949.99 $699.99 at Best Buy (save $250)
It's difficult to imagine finding more gaming PC for $700 than this one right now. The Intel Core i5 14400F might not be much of an upgrade on its predecessor, but it's still a plenty-fast little gaming chip. Plus, that RTX 4060 is capable of excellent 1080p gaming performance, and even a dash of 1440p with DLSS 3 help and some settings adjustments. You get a proper 1 TB speedy storage drive and a healthy dose of DDR5 in the mix, too, and even a keyboard and mouse!

Yeyian Yumi | Core i5 12400F | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $1,199.99 $699.99 at Newegg (save $500)
You might say there are too many Yeyian makes too many PCs with the same name, but honestly I'm not complaining when it does so with such decent specs at such good prices. This version of the Yeyian Yumi is basically asking whether you want to go with a previous-gen Intel or previous-gen AMD six-core chip at the heart of your budget RTX 4060 PC, and personally, I'd go with the $100 cheaper Intel version all day long. It's an older model for sure, but it's solid, has none of the 13th and 14th Gen issues Intel has struggled with recently, and is a great price.
Price watch: ➖
Yeyian Yumi | Ryzen 5 5600X | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $799.99 $779.98 at Newegg (save $20.01)
The Yumi is a bit of a classic when it comes to gaming PC deals, as it's always there or thereabouts. At the moment this is the cheapest RTX 4060-based PC we've found, and comes with a supporting spec that is absolutely solid, even if it's not the latest and greatest. The combination of DDR4 RAM and a previous-gen Ryzen 5 might not be top-end, but this machine will still deliver great performance for under a grand.

ABS Cyclone Aqua | Core i5 13400F | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 32 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | $999.99 $799.99 at Newegg (save $200 with code BFNDYA892)
This ABS rig with an RTX 4060 is about the cheapest you'll find for something with 32 GB RAM and a relative new CPU. On their own, an extra 16 GB RAM or a slight CPU upgrade might not be worth the $100 extra for a budget build, but together? In combination, these upgrades should ensure your PC has the grunt even for some moderate productivity tasks, giving you that extra peace of mind.

Yeyian Tanto gaming PC | Core i5 14400F | RTX 4060 Ti | 32 GB DDR5-6000 | 1 TB SSD | $1399.99 $949.99 at Newegg (save $450)
This is a sub-$1,000 gaming PC and it has an RTX 4060 Ti, need I say more? It's a great price for a rig with this entry-level/midrange graphics card, and it even comes with speedy DDR5 RAM. Just be aware that the "F" in the name means it lacks integrated graphics, so if your 4060 Ti ever goes kaput, you'll have no video-out.
Price watch: ➖
Yeyian Tanto | Intel Core i5 13400F | RTX 4070 | 16 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $1,599 $1,079.99 at Newegg (save $519.01)
RTX 4070 machines can vary in price and specification quite significantly, but here you're getting that great 1440p GPU (with even some 4K credentials thanks to DLSS 3), a nice and speedy Core i5 paired with some good DDR5 RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. For close to a thousand bucks, that's a really great selection of hardware that makes it a great gaming rig for more like budget prices. It doesn't have the 4070 Super might of the Skytech build above, but it has a more up-to-date CPU and RAM.

This Skytech RTX 4070 Super build costs more than the Yeyian Tanto 4070 Super build above, but for that extra cost you're getting a slightly better CPU and an extra 16 GB of (admittedly slower) RAM. Plus, you get that lovely white chassis.

Skytech Azure 2 | Ryzen 7 7700X | RX 7800 XT | 32 GB DDR5-5200 | 1 TB SSD | $1,599.99 $1,379.99 at Newegg (save $220)
This is a great option for those of you looking for a powerful build with an AMD GPU that doesn't break the bank. The great thing about the 7800 XT is that you're getting 16 GB of VRAM for a reasonable price. It performs somewhere between the RTX 4070 and 4070 Super, too, so it'll do just fine for 1440p and even some 4K gaming.

This ABS machine, in addition to housing the stellar RTX 4070 Ti Super, has 32 GB of speedy RAM, a high-end CPU, and heaps of RGB. It also has a more powerful CPU than the other ABS build above. In other words, all the prospective high-end gamer should need. It only has a 1 TB SSD, but that's one of the easiest components to upgrade down the line.

Alienware Aurora R16 | Core i9 14900F | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super | 1 TB SSD | $2,399.99 $1,799.99 at Dell (save $600)
Dell's been surprising us lately with some pretty fantastic deals on its Alienware gaming PCs. This one in particular sits on our list because of that beefy Core i9 CPU. Combined with an RTX 4070 Ti Super and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, you have a solid all-round system for both high-end gaming and productivity. Just keep in mind that upgrading stuff might be a little more difficult down the line than with a custom PC thanks to all the proprietary parts.

ABS Kaze Ruby | Ryzen 7 7700X | Nvidia RTX 4080 Super | 32 GB DDR5-6000 | 1 TB SSD | $2,399.99 $1,949.99 at Newegg (save $450)
With this rig, for less than $2,000 you're getting the most powerful graphics card barring the usually overkill RTX 4090, a CPU that's perfectly suitable for gaming, 32 GB of fast DDR5 RAM, and even a 1,000 W power supply. It should handle any game you throw on-screen with ease. The only real sacrifice is the 1 TB of storage, but that'll be easy to upgrade down the line. There's little not to love.

With this ABS RTX 4080 Super build, you're getting an Intel Core i9 14900KF for some of the best productivity performance barring the latest high-end 9000-series chips. If content creation or productivity work is a consideration, this ABS rig is probably the one to go for. Just ensure you install the latest 14th Gen microcode BIOS to prevent instability issues.

This build is everything a gamer might want. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the best gaming CPU out right now and in this build it's paired with what is the most powerful graphics card barring the ridiculously expensive RTX 4090. Throw in a whopping 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and this Skytech build has more than enough to demolish any game in its path. It even has 2 TB of storage, so you shouldn't go running out of space for game installs any time soon.

e're not massive fans of Alienware PCs when they're at full price, but Dell sure does like a deal, and when it's knocking $1,000 off that sticker price we're going to take notice. That makes this the most cost-effective RTX 4090 gaming PC you can buy today, and it comes fully kitted out to deal with pretty much everything you could throw at it.

he RTX 4090 is set to be replaced with a new RTX 50-series variant in the new year, but with rumoured pricing nearing the $2,000 mark, and RTX 4090 pricing not far off that right now, this ABS machine also packing a powerful Intel Core i9 is a serious gaming machine that will still deliver the goods for a long while yet. Just make sure you're updating the system's BIOS to mitigate Intel's recent CPU issues.

This is a huge amount of cash to spend on a gaming PC, but it gets you the best gaming CPU and the best graphics card in one powerful package. And that can't be bad, can it? With that, you get 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, 2 TB of fast storage, and a hoofing great 1 KW power supply. Oof. If you really need that 4090, this is a solid price for a very extravagant build.

Steam Deck (LCD) | 512 GB SSD | $449 at Steam
Okay, the Steam Deck may have had an OLED refresh but the original version is still the archetype of what a mobile PC gaming device should be. Let's be upfront about this—8 GB of RAM is not enough in 2024. But when you're talking about a gaming notebook that costs just $650, but with a decent RTX 40-series GPU inside it, I can swallow it. Especially when you can easily upgrade the RAM with just a wee screwdriver in-hand. And 16 GB of fast dual-channel DDR5 is just $50-odd right now. The RTX 4050 is just a 75 W variant, so not the outright fastest, but will still definitely do the job at 1080p, and for this money, that's all you can ask.

Let's be up front here—the mobile RTX 4050 isn't a particularly powerful gaming GPU. However, if you're on a tight budget and looking to take advantage of DLSS 3, this discount lappy has a lot going for it. It's got a decently fast display, a chunky little six core Zen 4 CPU, 16 GB of DDR5 and a relatively subtle chassis design. I'd upgrade the SSD to something bigger for cheap, but otherwise it's a decent budget gaming machine for the price.

A gaming laptop with an AMD graphics card is a rarity, rarer still to find one with a very tasty discount. Now, the RX7700S isn't the most exciting graphics card, but it is a GPU that will outperform the RTX 4050 in most games quite comfortably, making this $700 system a very tempting laptop deal. The screen is decent, the RAM is substantial enough and although we'd prefer more storage space, it's a quality budget gaming machine for a very good price.

Ok, so the SSD is small. Still, it's the easiest thing to upgrade on a laptop, and the rest of the specs are rather nice for the cash. The RTX 4060 handily beats the RTX 4050 by a considerable margin, the screen is a plenty fast 1200p 165 Hz panel, and it's got a nice dose of DDR5. Stick a bigger SSD in it, and it's a nicely-balanced machine.

You're only getting a 1080p screen here, which is a bit of a shame as the rest of the components are all rather excellent. Still, that RTX 4070 will have no problem pushing that 144 Hz panel to its limits in many games at that res, plus the 10 core (six P-core, four Efficient) CPU has some decent DDR5 to play with. It's not perfect, but for this money it's an excellent deal.

This is a big chonker of a laptop, with a honking great 17-inch 240 Hz display. Combine that with a proper mobile RTX 4070, 16 GB of DDR5 and a 1 TB SSD, and you've got a big lappy with plenty of horsepower and a super speedy screen for a good price.

Acer's Helios line of laptops goes up to some mighty (and mighty pricey) configs, but this one is a bit more affordable. You get that super-fast 240 Hz screen, a proper RTX 4070, and one of Intel's top mobile chips, the Core i9 14900HX. It'll likely run pretty toasty with that beefy Intel chip in the mix, but power-wise it's a pretty mean gaming machine.

This is a big laptop that, for once, hasn't been packed with the most power-hungry and heat producing components, which is refreshing. That Core i7 is easier to keep cool than an i9 and it's a more suitable match for the 140W RTX 4070 alongside, which should have no problem pushing 1440p res gaming to that screen. Let's start with a caveat—the chassis here isn't exactly beautiful. But everything else about this laptop is great for the price, including a 140 W RTX 4070, a 16 core (six Performance, eight Efficient) Meteor Lake chip and a 16-inch 2000p LED backlit IPS display. A 400 nits brightness rating is pretty great for this sort of price, too.

MSI MAG 341CQP | 34-inch | 175 Hz | QD-OLED | $779.99 $599.99 at Newegg (save $180)
OLED gaming still isn't as affordable as we'd like. But it's getting there. This 34-inch ultrawide QD-OLED beast is still a good deal at this price, however. The 175 Hz refresh is a tiny bit pedestrian, but it's plenty fast enough for us and in all other regards, this is the full OLED experience, including 0.03ms response and serious HDR sizzle.

With a 175 Hz refresh rate, this 34-inch curved ultrawide OLED monitor has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and it's buttery smooth, thanks to that impressive 0.03 ms response time. With True Black 400 HDR, the panel looks fantastic, and the built-in Gaming Hub makes for a much snappier gaming experience.

MSI MAG 321UP | 32-inch | 165 Hz | QD-OLED | $829.99 $699.99 at Amazon (save $130)
What a difference a letter makes... especially when it comes to gaming monitors.

MSI MAG 321UPX | 32-inch | 240Hz | QD-OLED | $799.99 at Newegg (save $100)
With its special launch price of $949, the MSI MAG 321UPX was already by far the cheapest of the new generation of gorgeous high-pixel density 4K gaming OLEDs. But you can already get for $50 off. It makes most 27-inch 1440p OLEDs look painfully overpriced. It may be out of stock when you click through, but it's worth checking back for this great deal.

Gigabyte Aorus CO49DQ | 49-inch | 144Hz | 5120 x 1440 | OLED | $1,099.99 $899.99 at Amazon (save $200)
It's not been around for long but the Aorus CO49DQ already has a decent discount, and it's a lot of monitor for the money as we found in our review. Those rocking the RTX 4090 might be better off with the higher refresh rate of the Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SC, but the rest of us can take advantage of this very wide, very pretty looking panel for a bit less.

There was just one thing obviously wrong with this stunning 32-inch 4K monitor when we reviewed it. The price. At $1,400 it was just so expensive. But now it's been trimmed by fully $330, it's much more competitive. OK, it's still not exactly affordable. But this is the best 32-inch 4K gaming OLED available right now.

HP FX900 Pro | 512 GB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,700 MB/s write | $49.49 $39.49 at Amazon (save $10)
It's not flashy, but honestly, do you need anything more than a fast and reliable drive from a good brand at a great price? HP's FX900 Pro certainly fits all those parameters, and with these kinds of speeds on offer, this SSD is no slouch. It has all the specs you might want at this level, including 1 GB of DRAM for heavy workloads.

XPG Gammix S55 M.2 2230 | 512 GB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000 MB/s read | 3,700 MB/s writes | $50.99 at Newegg
Buy the cheapest Steam Deck you can find and then slap one of these into it for a welcome boost in storage capacity and performance. It's as basic as they come but in this case, that's a good thing as you're not paying for anything you won't need.

Team Group MP44L | 1 TB | M.2 2280 | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000 MB/s read | 4,500 MB/s write | $79.99 $56.99 at Newegg (save $23)
The MP44L is far from being the fastest SSD you can buy but for the money, you really can't complain. The read/write speeds are pretty low compared to others in our curated list, but they're still fast enough for most users and way better than a SATA SSD. If you avoid using it for heavy data transfers, you'll have no problems with it.

Nextorage NEM-PAB | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s Read | 6,100 MB/s write | $149.99 $67.99 at Newegg (save $82)
Nextorage may be a relatively new name in NMVe SSDs but don't be fooled by appearances. This drive uses the ubiquitous Phison E18 controller, and the 1 TB version represents excellent price/performance value here. This version without a DRAM cache makes it less responsive than the DRAM-equipped NEM-PA model, despite having a slight advantage in stated straight-line performance. Check out our review of the NEM-PA for more.

Lexar NM790| 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | $99.99 $69.99 at Amazon (save $30)

Crucial P310 | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,100 MB/s read | 6,000 MB/s write | $171.99 $69.99 at Amazon (save $102)
This is a huge saving on a 2230 format SSD that performs pretty nicely, as we found when we reviewed the 2 TB version. Crucial's performance claims are very much peak values and the real-world numbers are generally lower, but at this price, it's a great way to boost your Steam Deck's storage and get a handy speed bump.

Crucial MX500 | 1 TB | 2.5" | SATA 6 Gb/s | 560 MB/s read | 510 MB/s write | $86.95 $79.98 at Newegg (save $6.97)
Not enough M.2 NVMe slots on your motherboard for more storage? No problem—you can still install a speedy SSD via a SATA port. The Crucial MX500 is pretty much the best out there, as nothing else offers the same blend of performance and value for money as the MX500. It's also available in 2 TB and 4 TB sizes, with the prices scaling on par with the storage capacity.

WD Black SN850X | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,300 MB/s write | $93.99 $79.99 at Amazon (save $14)
This is still our favorite SSD for gaming, despite the strong competition and volatile prices. Unlike the cheaper SN770, the SN850X encapsulates the best PCIe 4.0 offers in terms of performance (check out our review). That makes it a great fit for a boot drive with space to spare for your game library, and at this price, we're happy to pay the premium for its higher speed.

If you absolutely must have the fastest possible SSD, you need to get a Gen5 model. Team Group's Z540 is ridiculously quick in benchmarks but no game exists yet that takes advantage of that speed. As with all Gen5 SSDs, it's very expensive and runs really hot, so it's probably best to wait for the next round of PCIe 5.0 SSDs before taking the plunge.

You might not know Silicon Power from Samsung, but this SSD is well-received by our friends at Tom's Hardware. It offers plenty of speed for a Steam library expansion but with a meager cost per gigabyte of just five cents. It's not the fastest SSD out there, though.

There's no DRAM to boost sustained performance and the SLC cache isn't especially big, either. But the speed is good enough for most workloads and when 1 TB of storage costs this much, who cares that it's not flash or fancy? Not us, that's for sure.
Price check: Amazon $102.59

Nextorage G-LE | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,400 MB/s write | $249.99 $103.99 at Newegg (save $146)
This DRAM-less Nextorage drive still has plenty of pace about it, and if you're just using it as an extra game library SSD to contend with your expanding library, but still need some storage speed, it's a great option. The extra cache can come in handy as a boot drive, increasing responsiveness for smaller write operations, but for games, this more affordable option can be a good way to save some cash on a new build or upgrade.

Our favorite SSD for gaming right now encapsulates the best PCIe 4.0 offers in terms of performance (check out our review). That makes it a great fit for a boot drive with space to spare for your game library but while it's super fast and reliable, prices are really volatile.

Lexar NM790 | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | $189.99 $134.99 at Amazon (save $55)
This SSD is a great deal right now and Lexar has put together a superb SSD in the NM790. Thanks to high-layer NAND and a low-power controller, you get tons of storage here on an energy-efficient and great-performing drive for not much cash and often much less cash than the competition. This Team Group drive isn't the fastest compact SSD you can stick in your Steam Deck, but it is one of the cheapest 2TB drives you'll be able to find for your wee handheld gaming PC. And it will also be a little quicker than the stock drive the Deck ships with, too.

Silicon Power XS70 | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,800 MB/s write | $179.99 $144.52 at Amazon (save $35.47)
Prices for the XS70 are some of the most variable I've seen for an SSD, so it's perhaps worth waiting to see if the price dips again before picking one up. It packs rather a large bang for your buck with its fast read and write times, at least. While the software side of things may be a little lacking, we were impressed with this drive's overall performance and value proposition.

It's a fair chunk of cash for a slow SSD but if you're looking for lots of storage and don't need a blazing NVMe drive, then this is the cheapest way of putting a 4 TB SSD in your gaming PC. Just don't expect it to sustain full speed under heavy workloads and you'll be fine.

Silicon Power UD90 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000 MB/s read | 4,500 MB/s write | $239.99 $197.99 at Amazon (save $42)
This Silicon Power might not be the fastest of drives, but it's difficult to argue with this much storage for this sort of money. With a sequential read/write of 5,000 MB/s and 4,500 MB/s, it's still not what you'd call slow and should be fine for gaming; plus it comes from a reliable brand.

Team Group MP44 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,900 MB/s write | $299.99 $229.99 at Amazon (save $70)
This Team Group boasts some mighty specs for the money, though it's actually the same hardware as in the Lexar NM790. The sequential read/write speeds are extremely high but it can only sustain them over short bursts. At this price, it's well worth putting up with that limitation.
Price change:➖
Silicon Power XS70 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,200 MB/s read | 6,800 MB/s write | $309.99 $259.99 at Amazon (save $50)
High-performance 4TB SSDs are starting to rocket in price but if you absolutely must have one, this is an excellent choice. Mountains of storage and blistering speed—this XS70 has them both, but you'll be paying a pretty penny for it. At least it comes with a decent heatsink to keep temperatures under control.

Small, light, and very fast in the right USB port, this little SSD might be all you need for your external storage requirements. While we didn't think it offered a great amount of drop resistance in our review, the SE810 is rated to IP68, so it'll fend off dust and water ingress nicely.

Team Group PD20M | 1 TB | USB 3.2 Gen2x2 | 2,000 MB/s read | 2,000 MB/s write | $79.99 at Amazon
Not all external SSDs need to be big and bulky. This Team Group PD20M is just 40 g in weight and 8.2 mm thick, making it very portable. It's also MagSafe-compatible so you can attach it to the back of an iPhone and extend its storage, with an appropriate cable. As with all fast external SSDs, you'll need a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 (20 Gbps) port to get the full speed.

They're designed to be rugged and fast, a potent combo. Oh, and they're available in three colors. Don't forget that you'll need to have a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port in your PC to get the best speed.

In our review of the XL version we found it to be very comfy indeed with nice features like the magnetic snap-on neck support pillow and built in adjustable lumbar support. However, with a discount this big we're more than happy to sing the praises of this excellent device. 11 customisable buttons, a fantastically accurate sensor, great looks and comfort, tuneable weights and PowerPlay wireless charging support with a 60 hour plus battery life. Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro | 30K sensor | Wireless | 90 hour battery | $99.95 $79.95 at Newegg (save $20)
The DeathAdder V3 Pro was our previous pick for the absolute best gaming mouse, and the only reason it dropped off the list is because the V3 HyperSpeed version was better value. At this price, however, the V3 Pro is cheaper than the HyperSpeed and is definitely where it's at. You're getting the best Razer has to offer in its beloved DeathAdder form factor, and that's a heck of a lot for this price.

While the original Superlight is better value when the Superlight 2 is full price, with this discount in play it's difficult to pick between the two. With the second version, you're getting a better sensor, higher polling, extra battery life, and type-C charging.

That includes sound dampening (which really does make for a satisfying clack) and lubed switches. It's a dream to type and game on, and at this price worth considering (though it's still pretty expensive, ngl).

These pump audio at quite a considerable level, with excellent sub bass and crisp treble that might not be for everyone but certainly makes them a lively listening experience, and that gigantic mic definitely delivers. They may be a bit skull-crushing for some in both comfort and overall sound, but they make a compelling case for themselves nonetheless.

It's got a crystal clear bidirectional mic, a super comfortable "ski goggle" fabric headband, and some great-sounding drivers, but the real thing to pay attention to here is its dedicated DAC+ amplifier with an OLED screen. This headset sounds absolutely brilliant as a result, and should jump straight to the top of your list at this price.

This Logitech headset is a great entry point for those on a budget looking for a wireless solution and comes with a surprising set of features for the money. There's Dolby Atmos support, 18 hours of battery life, and a lightweight design, meaning these cans will stay comfortable for longer play sessions. The built-in microphones are not the best-sounding things we've ever heard but are perfectly functional, and at this price, we think this set makes a solid budget option.

This isn't the latest model but still one of our most beloved headsets. The refresh is grand and all, with a longer battery life and improved mic, but the original is still a great wireless headset, with the same excellent TriForce drivers delivering great audio. None of that awful Razer green nonsense here, either. These are comfy, stylish and come in sleek black or what we like to call the Stormtrooper aesthetic for the same price.

No, we didn't make a typo. 300 hours of gaming goodness on a single charge, excellent DTS:X Spatial Audio, and premium comfort features make this headset an absolute stunner of a buy at this price. When is Black Friday 2024?
Black Friday officially kicks off first thing on Friday November 29, 2024, but in reality the sales bonanza has already started. It's more like Black November at this point, so expect the deals to flow from now, through Black Friday itself, and then long through the weekend and into the next week.
There's been a big push from a lot of the major retailers to encourage early spending ahead of Black Friday itself, so the discounts have been flowing in thick and fast already.
After Black Friday itself the offers will continue through the weekend and into Cyber Monday and on into Cyber Week. Then it's Christmas gifting, then January sales, and then whatever they can come up with to hang a deal around come Valentine's Day.
What deals can I expect on Black Friday 2024?
We're so far into the current generation of both graphics cards and gaming laptops that, while you might see some last-gen GPUs in some discounted rigs, they're going to have to be seriously cheap to warrant picking over similarly priced current-gen systems.
But, because we are deep into this generation, and all the main cards have been dealt, there will be deals going down for the latest and greatest PC gaming tech. And that's pretty exciting. You can bet there will be a number of RTX 4060 gaming laptops and PCs going for less than $900 and that will be a great price for an entry level gaming system for sure.
Intel is only launched its Arrow Lake processors in October, and while we won't see any Core Ultra 200-series discounts, I wouldn't be surprised to see Intel's 14th and 13th Gen chips up for sale. And we've already seen AMD's early holiday discounts starting on its Zen 5 chips, and I'm positive its Zen 4 range is going to see some deep cuts this year.
There's been a serious price correction on memory over the last year and so DDR5 is now affordable so putting together a great gaming PC build is within your grasp this year. There has also been a glut of great SSDs deals, too with price drops so ludicrous you'd also be silly not picking up a 1TB drive, even as a spare. Maybe even a 2TB SSD.
Screens are another regularly discounted commodity around Black Friday, and we doubt this year will be any different. This means both the best gaming monitors and the best TVs for gaming could get some tasty deals, too.
And there will always be gaming mice and keyboards on sale come Black Friday too, so they're worth taking a look at. It's a great time of year to treat your butt to a quality gaming chair as well, which tend to enjoy some healthy price cuts this time of year.
What should I avoid buying on Black Friday 2024?
Anything you don't need. It's distressingly easy to be duped into dropping cash on something just because there's a hefty discount attached to it… even though you have absolutely no use for it.
If you're considering making a purchase around Black Friday, have a plan of attack. That probably sounds needlessly aggressive, but you need to know what you actually want to buy first or you'll end up with no end of crap. Cheap crap, maybe, but crap nonetheless.
Do some research on the products you'd like to pick up in the sales (we offer detailed hardware buying guides), and maybe some alternatives in case those don't pop up. Set yourself a strict budget too.
Products like graphics cards and processors have obvious tiers (though the different companies work damned hard to make product names as confusing as possible), and SSDs have rated speeds, but for peripherals, it's tougher to tell from the specs whether they're worth the money. Checking for reviews, from such luminaries as ourselves, should guide you on your way, and checking price trackers such as CamelCamelCamel will let you know if a deal's more than just skin deep.
Are there any Black Friday tips and tricks?
If you haven't already used it up during a credit card splurge around Amazon Prime Day, then you ought to take the opportunity to sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. That will get you early access to the Lightning Deals, and help you grab some of Jeff's best deals of the day. It will also net you free shipping on a host of products and speedy delivery too, and at the very worst it'll be handy when it comes to bagging some last-minute Christmas gifts for that aunt you always forget about.
Will prices drop any further?
There are always reasons to hold off on making a new purchase whenever you are thinking about making one. Whether it's the potential for a new generation of techie goodness on the horizon—either cutting prices on existing models or delivering tangible higher performance—or because there might be an imminent sale like Black Friday looming.
When picking out Black Friday and Cyber Monday PC gaming deals we take all of this into consideration, and where we think prices on something might significantly drop on the big day itself we simply won't recommend it. But all of the products here we either believe won't significantly drop much further in terms of their pricing, or are just good deals that we wouldn't hesitate recommending if you wanted to make a purchase today.
It's worth stating, too, that many retailers have already kicked off their Cyber Monday sales, and the likes of Newegg and Best Buy are offering their own kinds of price guarantees to give you some confidence in their current discounts.
