Amazon Big Deal Days 2024 PC gaming deals in Australia: the sale is over, but discounts remain on keyboards, mice, headsets, controllers and more
This year's second Prime Day has been and gone but, inexplicably, deals remain.
Amazon Big Deal Days 2024 kicked off in Australia on Tuesday, October 8 and ran until Sunday 12. Which means you've probably missed it! That's good news if you've been avoiding the temptation to buy things you don't need, but you'll need to keep practicing restraint if that's the case because a bunch of the deals are still live.
As is usually the case during Amazon sales events, brands like Asus, Corsair and Samsung dominate the landscape, and there's a wealth of bargain options for people in the market for gaming peripherals like headsets, keyboards and mice. But hurry as the sale ends tonight!
Amazon Prime Day is all about driving subscriptions to Amazon Prime, so to make the most of the deals below you'll need to sub. I wouldn't recommend paying for this, though, because there's actually a free trial you can take advantage of. See below:
Amazon Big Deal Days VR deals in Australia
Save AU$250
This is more of a price drop than a deal, but it represents great value for anyone wanting to get into the VR game on the best and most accessible platform. In addition to the 512GB Quest 3 model, you're also getting Batman: Arkham Shadow and three months of Quest+, which grants two new games per month which stay in your library until your subscription lapses.
Amazon Big Deal Days gaming keyboard deals in Australia
Save AU$62.01
If you want your keyboard to take up as little space as possible, this is a wireless 65 percenter with low profile optical switches. Small doesn't mean discreet though, so rest assured there's plenty of RGB on this thing. The ROG Falchion RX is the favourite low profile keyboard in our best gaming keyboard list, ticking just about every must-have box including great switches, a sturdy build, and plenty of connectivity options.
Amazon Big Deal Days gaming monitor deals in Australia
Save AU$377.80
This 32-inch affair is one of our fave gaming monitors, and if you don't trust me check out this 92 / 100 review. Samsung's QD-OLED tech pumps out a sharp 4K resolution with an uber-smooth 240Hz refresh rate, with AMD FreeSync and G-Sync support into the fact.
Save AU$207
This 1440p 32-inch monitor is well-worth considering at this sub-AU$400 price point. It's the perfect screen for folk who don't need 4K and don't need blistering frame rates (though 165Hz is nothing to stick your nose up at).
Save AU$285.40
At full RRP this 27-inch gaming monitor does raise some brows, but with this discount it's actually a good option if you're running a mid-spec rig or want a second monitor. The 1440p affair has a 165Hz refresh rate (180Hz overclocked), VESA DisplayHDR 400 and AMD Freesync Premium. It's also worth paying attention when a good gaming monitor hits the sub-AU$400 mark.
Amazon Big Deal Days gaming headset deals in Australia
Save AU$74
The Cloud II was a go-to if you wanted a sturdy, mid-range wired gaming headset. This wireless follow-up is decently specced for its price, with angled 53mm drivers, a detachable "ultra-clear" mic, and DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio. This 25% discount applies to black while the red model is even cheaper at AU$199. Or, if you'd prefer the wired version of the Cloud III, that's down to AU$119 in black.

This is a great price for a wireless gaming headset with Dolby Audio 7.1, and best of all, it has both wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, making it very versatile. It's an over-air affair with an omni-directional mic, and compatibility across not only PC but all the consoles. It's also available in black.
Amazon Big Deal Days gaming mouse deals in Australia
Save AU$53.53
While rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are undeniably convenient, they present the problem of rendering products useless once the battery inevitably dies. This takes a single conventional battery that will last for hundreds of hours, so not only will you rarely need to charge it, but you won't need to worry about it turning into a paper weight. It's a 2.4Ghz wireless affair that'll keep you happy for years, and at this price it's hard to deny.

This is a pleasantly lightweight wireless mouse with great responsiveness and unwavering wireless connectivity. Obviously, you're going to need to enjoy the look of the thing above all else: it may trigger trypophobia in some. Jacob rated it highly in his 2021 review.
Save AU$194
This premium wireless Logitech mouse would normally set you back a full AU$279, but streamer Shroud presumably isn't as popular in Australia because this Shroud-emblazoned edition is super cheap at only AU$85. If you don't mind that purely-cosmetic twist, you're saving quite a bit on a mouse that normally sells for anywhere between AU$125 and AU$219. Our review was favorable, praising its build quality and "classic look".
(Save AU$68.88)
This Corsair rodent is aimed squarely at MMO players, but it'll come in handy to anyone who likes more complex games with lotsa commands. It has 16 programmable buttons and an impressive 150 hour battery life, with both wireless and Bluetooth connectivity (it comes packaged with a wireless dongle). You can even slide the 12 side bottoms along the right hand side of the mouse for perfect comfort.
Amazon Big Deal Days component deals in Australia
Save AU$7243.45
This 5900X CPU may have released four years ago but it's still a very well-endowed chip: 12 cores, 24 threads, and plenty of grunt for whatever gaming you want to throw at it. Our reviewer was well-impressed, writing that it's a "phenomenal processor that is as good in serious apps as it is games, no other 'mainstream' chip really comes close."
Save AU$41.85
If you're accustomed to running a browser with dozens of tabs open, then beefing your system up with 32GB of RAM will improve your system's responsiveness. It'll allow you to run more apps simultaneously, and it can help cut down on the time spent waiting on game loading screens or level transitions. For just $99, this Corsair DDR4-3200 kit is a cheap way to breathe some new life into an older DDR4 system.
