How to get Excalibur in Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Find and retrieve this mythical sword with our AC Valhalla Excalibur guide.
Looking for Excalibur in Assassin's Creed Valhalla? If you want to get your hands on this powerful legendary sword, you're going to need to do a little leg-work in order to obtain it. Legend says that Excalibur was given to King Arthur by the Lady of the Lake but Valhalla's version also includes the Sword in the Stone. Still, it's one of the most powerful swords you can find in the world of Valhalla, so a few inaccuracies can be forgiven for the sake of more damage.
To get started on your path to Excalibur you're going to need to collect the AC Valhalla Treasure of Britain tablets that are located all across 9th century England. These are found in various tricky locations, such as labyrinths and caves, and you'll even need to take down a few of the tough AC Valhalla Zealots to collect them all and claim this mystical sword. So without further ado, let's jump in and show you everything you need to know to wield AC Valhalla Excalibur.

Here's every Treasure of Britain location you'll need to claim AC Valhalla Excalibur
Cave of Trials
This particular labyrinth is located over on the eastern edge of Cent, near to the coast. Inside the house, you'll find a trap door which leads to an underground cave system, and you'll need to navigate your way through it in order to locate this Treasure of Britain tablet. If you've already unlocked the Jotunheim story arc, you may well have this one already but if not, have a read of this AC Valhalla Going Deeper quest guide which contains a walkthrough for the Cave of Trials.
Grimes Graves
You'll find Grimes Graves in East Anglia, east of Middletun and south-east of Brisleah Farm. There is a network of caves here and, like the Cave of Trials, you'll need to make your way through it in order to find this Treasure of Britain tablet. This particular treasure is actually hidden inside some breakable pots, so it's easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for. If you're having trouble, take a look at this AC Valhalla Grimes Graves treasure walkthrough.
Santlache Mine
The next Treasure of Britain is also located underground. The mine you're looking for is in Suthsexe, close to the Cent border and south-west of Tonbridge Monastery. Move down into the mineshaft and shoot ladder locks and red barrels to open the doors. Once you've arrived at the end, you'll find a note with instructions, saying you should 'dive where iron thrives'. Swim through this room and you should spot iron underwater. Before diving, make sure you have a full breath meter or you might not make it in time. You'll find the tablet at the end.
Old Cellar
You can find this Treasure of Britain in Essexe, very close to a lake south-east of Colcestre. You'll know you're in the right place if you encounter poison in the cave, but keep moving and you'll soon reach the end to find an old wine cellar. In order to retrieve this tablet, have Eivor shoot the yellow light-up caps on each of the barrels with arrows. This will fill the central grate and you'll be able to nab your treasure.

Wiccan's Cave
You'll find this cave in the mountains to the west of Jorvik in Eurvicscire. Once you've located it, follow the path until you reach the spot where you'll need to slide through an opening to get to the other side. You'll notice a wall of ice, which Eivor is able to shoot to gain access to the tablet. Once inside, head to the right and shoot through the grate to blow up the barrel. Now head left and take out the lock on the door with an arrow.
Deoraby Spar Cavern
This Treasure of Britain is located in a small cavern on the eastern border of Snotinghamscire, just north-east of Hemthorpe. Once inside the first room, look upwards to find your way through. Climb over the statues and make your way along the tunnel to the end to claim this tablet as your prize.
Red Lichen Cavern
You can find the Red Lichen Cavern just east of Wincestre in Hamtunscire. You'll find a lot of poison inside, so use your torch to remove most of it. Once at the end, throw your torch into the poison to clear the area containing the Treasure of Britain and collect your reward.
Wocig
The last treasure that you'll find within a cave or labyrinth is also located in Hamtunscire. This time, head north-east of Chepeham and just a little further than the synchronisation point there. You'll find a submerged room and once inside, look for the telltale white ridges at the top of the area to climb up. You'll need to blow up the oil barrels to make an opening on your left. Slide underneath to collect this Treasure of Britain tablet.
How to find the three Excalibur Zealots that carry the Treasure of Britain tablets
That's the first eight Treasure of Britain tablets collected. Now you need to locate the final three to complete your collection. It's been fairly easy so far but from here onwards, you'll need to find and defeat three of the tough AC Valhalla Zealots to retrieve the tablets and claim the mythical AC Valhalla Excalibur.
Hrothgar
Hrothgar can be found roaming the main roads of Suthsexe. As he doesn't remain in one place, you may need to hunt around for a while before you find the telltale white helmet marker on your map. Your best bet is to find a junction where several roads meet and wait him out. I found him near Santlache Mine, but I'd also spotted him previously to the west, next to the Hamtunscire border (east of Fearnhamme). Once he's been defeated, don't forget to loot him for your prize.
Heike
Heike is found patrolling the roads of Essexe. As with Hrothgar, if you don't want to run around the whole region looking for him, find a crossroads and wait for him to show up. I eventually found him on the road south of Walden but he's also been spotted just north of Belesduna Bandit Camp. Once he's taken care of, loot the tablet from him.
Woden
The final Zealot you'll have to deal with to claim the last Treasure of Britain tablet can be found patrolling the roads of Cent. As with the previous two, make your way to a place where the roads intersect and wait for him to make an appearance. I found him on the road west of Canterbury. Once you've dealt with this tricky Zealot, pick up the final Treasure of Britain tablet.
AC Valhalla Excalibur: How to pull the sword from the stone
Myrdinn’s Cave at Stonehenge
With all 11 Treasure of Britain tablets collected, head to the location in Hamtunscire (above). Enter the cave found here and keep platforming until you find a large pool of water. Dive down and look for a doorway to your left, then swim through to emerge into a huge cave. You'll need to make a few careful jumps but you should then find Arthur Pendragon's camp. Look around the room and you'll notice slots for each of the Treasure of Britain tablets. Once you've placed them all, you'll be able to pull Excalibur from the stone. Good job!
