Western Digital's 2TB Elements portable hard drive is on sale for $60
Backup your data and go.
Have you been backing up your data? If not, now is a good time to get going. And if you to jump start things, you can grab a portable 2TB hard drive from Amazon for relatively cheap.
Amazon has on sale Western Digital's Elements portable HDD in 2TB capacity (a lower end and version of WD's My Passport, which is our pick as the best portable HDD). It's marked down to $60, versus around $75 elsewhere on the web. On sale, you're paying 3 cents per gigabyte.
This is a USB 3.0 drive that is formatted NFTS for Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, and Windows 7. Just plug it in and start copying or moving files over. That's about as simple as it gets.
If you need more (or less) storage, Amazon also has on sale 1TB ($55) and 4TB ($110) capacity models.
You can find the drive on sale here.
